I'm the first one to complain about stupid laws but common sense still needs to prevail. You wouldn't want me to erect a 55-story residential tower in your small town and New Yorkers living in one wouldn't want some dumbass grilling hot dogs and burgers on the patio of his 37th floor apartment with a propane grill.
Besides, this is New York! You are surrounded by thousands of restaurants and the best food in the world. Nobody really cooks at home. Even if you just want a simple grilled hot dog, why you can go out on the sidewalk and take your pick among the countless number of food carts and food trucks. Get a dirty hot dog for a dollar or two if you feel daring.
I will take my choice of guns over food carts any day of the week. Not even close.
To me, NYC is no longer part of America.

Heck, I can step out back and make my own. What a concept!
I’m a dirty water hotdog girl, myself. Everything you say is true; common sense above all.
My apartment is on 2nd Avenue and 25th - very close to Madison Square Park and Chelsea. No one has mentioned that it is the hub of the gay community in NYC - Orlando, anybody?
I hope they catch the bastard who did this but we need tough leaders and immigration crackdowns and deportations. I’ll have to stay put in suburbia today because I won’t be able to battle crosstown.
