I haven’t been over there in about a week. I’ll look today and see if there has been any change of mind.

They dynamics of elections are sometimes weird. A quirk of them is the fact that a perception of having momentum will win votes on that basis alone.

A lot of times elections are just a "herd animal" thing with groups going along with other groups because they don't want to feel left out.

I predict that as Trump is seen having more and more momentum, more and more people will want to jump on his bandwagon. That's another quirk. A lot of people want to believe they are supporting the winner.

Oh, good alliteration! (Have you been reading Msgr. Pope again?)

I live in North Carolina, near Charlotte, an unexpected epicenter of imposed immorality.

How do you educate people? They refuse to deal with this reality.

Look at Andrew Sullivan! Came to this country a clean-cut conservative and within a few years of enjoying licentious America he ended up with HIV, arrested for openly smoking pot in a public park (why was he in the public park?), became addicted to steroids, studied Sarah Palin’s ovulation charts so closely he was disinvited from most tv programs, is in an open ‘marriage’, bought a couple of beagles (today’s go-to dog for gay men), and grew a beard that makes him look like he has 1,000 bees on his face.

Is there an upside to his life, lol?

Speaking specifically of the Sin of Sodom:

Ezekiel 16:49 -
"Look,
this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom:
She and her daughters had pride,
fullness of food,
and abundance of idleness;
neither did she strengthen the hand
of the poor and needy."

It’s a wonderful state. I have friends in Statesville and we go there every year for Thanksgiving. I know you’ve had tough times thanks to Obama.

Statesville is pretty nice. I live in Union County, just east of Charlotte. The climate is good (especially compared to Oklahoma, where we came from), costs are low, people are very pleasant, and there’s plenty of arts and culture if we ever have time. Last week my husband and I went to a Gypsy Kings concert.

I love the south. Always have. Haven’t visited Oklahoma yet and plan to do it. A cross-country track...finally!

Oklahoma has lots of cool American Indian stuff to see, as well as other history and culture. The Western Heritage Center (I think that’s what it’s called now - used to be the Cowboy Hall of Fame) in Oklahoma City is well worth a stop, as is the Natural History Museum in Norman.

We lived in Norman for three years and Broken Arrow (near Tulsa) for four.

How do you educate people? They refuse to deal with this reality.

They used to be educated regarding homosexuality by the ubiquitously of the Jewish and Christian religions.

Now people are "educated" (really indoctrinated) by Television and the Internet.

There are generally very few homosexuals that over time could be regarded as "well adjusted." Usually homosexuality is a symptom of some deeper psychological problem. It is no coincidence that most serial killers are homosexual.

This latest one in the news regarding Jacob Wetterling claims to have been molested as a young boy in 1959, and yes, he turned out homosexual.

Many homosexuals were molested as children. Several studies have shown that 40% of them will admit it. This is another example in which the Libertarians will refuse to recognize a cost associated with tolerating this sort of behavior.

Schizophrenia is often correlated with homosexuality. I've never known a gay man who didn't eventually show some strange behaviorial traits. Yes, you can say it about most people, but their problems - alcoholism, drug-taking, risk-taking, is so often extreme. I had one friend who would show up on theater ‘dates’ with a black eye, a scratch on his face, etc. The worst was one night when he showed up on some long-lasting drug which became dreadfully evident as the night wore on. Under the drug's influence, he started to look like a ghoul. He escaped both AIDs and alcoholism but recent conversations with him still reveal troubling problems...

There is a deeper message here. Note that "fullness of food and abundance of idleness"?

If you look at history, you notice Liberalism waxes with prosperity and wanes with austerity.

People rich in material goods develop the feeling that old restraints on their behavior are no longer necessary, and so they let their utopian ideas have rein.

As is true of the bones in our bodies, I believe our spirits can only remain healthy if they are occasionally put under stress.

It is all too common for their underlying psychological problems to eventually develop into some sort of behaviorally related death.

Agreed. God gave us free will, and He allows evil - our poor choices - as a means of (it is hoped) instruction for the purposes of tempering our spiritual steel.

Their death rates are much higher than ordinary guys. Always has been, always will. And they often ‘pop’ off, you know. One day here, gone the next. Weird.

Yes. I do follow him on FB and I did follow him on Twitter.

The obesity thing is simply a push back against the ‘big is healthy and beautiful’ feminist/SJW meme.

For the most part, he is right. Very few fat people are healthy. To say that it’s alright to be fat is encouraging people not to do the work.

I gained 80 pounds (it was 100, but I’m down 20) after spinal surgery, 18 months bedrest, and an undiagnosed, dying thyroid.

Do I want to be judged as lazy? No. I’m sick.

But I’ve also got to admit that I can do better to improve my situation - even though I’m pushing against the tide.

Fat acceptance and Big is Beautiful won’t help me to get off my butt and fight.

Milo is extreme in his statements because he’s trying to shock people out of their social malaise. He’s even said that these things apply to him. He’s getting older and no longer as attractive as he once was without effort. Now he has to work. He has a choice. Bust his butt to remain attractive or be rich.

Women have to face that we’ve got a similar reality - but it’s even worse. Rich and powerful doesn’t do much for unattractive women to up their societal value.

So telling women that they can be single, fat, unhealthy, and put their efforts into a career, money, and power and that they’ll be happy is total BS.

Stating the truth is not ‘hateful to women’. The truth is not hateful. It simply is. The truth is neither good nor evil. It is indifferent. The truth doesn’t care if it makes you cry.

Could you point out to me where in the bible God burned two cities of heterosexuals to death for their sins?

No, I can't. So what?

You have to go back about, what, 5,000 years for your most recent example of God's punishment? against gays Also, if you read the story, you'd know that the reason God destroyed Sodom and Gommorah was a little more subtle, and less cut and dried than what you're characterizing.

In any event, no such "punishments" occurred in the New Testament. Last time I checked, THAT'S the Covenant we're operating under.

The Judaic law proscribed the death penalty for adultery too, didn't it?

And the "law & order" crowd in Jerusalem was about to stone a woman to death for it, if I recall.

Some here would have been the ones throwing the stones, I guess.

They were legally within their rights to do so.

But what did Jesus do?

"Let he who is without sin cast the first stone."

Truly timeless wisdom.

I'll follow Christ's example: mercy and forgiveness.

You can have fun with the whole "judgement" thing.

Have a nice day.

Vote Trump!
