Phishing or redirection...
But that's getting far afield from the substance of this thread.
There is also the possibility that all these images are the result of scanning text from paper printouts with software which is not perfect... e.g. text recognition software. This occurs often on incompetently produced and unchecked Amazon Books for the kindle.
Wouldn’t it be state.GOV not state.goy?
Nope.
Will do. My bad.
I think it is the software they are using to convert the pdf into a text file. That type of software is not always 100% correct. Thus, if the v isn't clear enough, it will interpret it as a y. The same thing goes with the @ symbol, showing up as the copyright symbol.
“The same anomalies appear on that image, too...”
The OCR generated transcript is the source of the anomalies - need to go to the original .pdf.
I know the military has transceivers that can be implanted in a tooth but their range is only a couple of kilometers.
If this earpiece is a crutch she just has to upgrade her technology to skate by the media.
No. doesn't work that way.
Having used OCR extensively (full Adobe Acrobat) before Windows 10 blew up my Windows 7 computer (Grrrrrrrrrrrr) this type of error is totally random, depending on the quality and provenance of the OCR'd paper original being scanned.
I used always to proofread OCR'd electronic text. Government types can't be bothered. Public employees are very often spelling-challenged anyway.
Sermonizing is not good. No one has the time or the inclination to thoroughly check everything that's posted. I would classify that as an OCD psychological fault.
People have a life, a family to keep them busy or a job.
Yes, we should all be aware that documents posted may not be flawless, and leave it at that.
“state.goy?”

Def not the Israelis.
Yes, the original .pdf shows @state.gov.
What the text document looks like is a typical OCR mistake.
And not New York State (NYC) or Florida (’round Miami), either!
Best bet: Alabama or South Dakota.

OCR can often give you the same kind of result as Google Translate - gets some words correct, but it’s not anything I’d rely on.

You get one of Microsoft’s surprise system “upgrades”? I dunno if MS is still going Pearl Harbor on Win 7, but this stopped it from “upgrading” my Win7:
NEVER10
“Easily Control Automatic and Unwanted Windows 7 & 8.1 Upgrading to Windows 10”
https://www.grc.com/never10.htm
(It’s a safe program from a trusted security group)

Oyvey.goy!
It was a speech at the United Nations.

The Reddit post claims the post has disappeared, but I found it:
I just went to the Wikileaks site myself, and did this search on the Clinton emails.
It is there.

“Wouldnt we, then, expect the same OCR mistake either all the time or none of the time?
No. doesn’t work that way.

Ok, I understand. Thanks.
You must have missed the part where those frames appear because the picture is not faked. That said, there is no earpiece. From the video it’s obviously a reflection off the bowl of her ear. I mean it’s not even a close call. There are other camera angles looking straight up into her ear canal that show no earpiece. This is one of the dopier conspiracy theories to make the rounds of the interwebz.
