[Vanity] In all honesty, what would you do if someone burned the U.S. flag in front of you?

With all the recent late-August talk of San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick refusing to stand and salute to the National Anthem which caused a fierce debate on social media and the press, we all know that some folks in this country loves to burn the U.S. flag. Although it is constitutional, what would you do if someone near/in front of you burned the U.S. flag? I remember some communists burning the U.S. flag near a park in NYC last year. What would you do?

I would take the flag away from them, and avoid the physical confrontation that could land me in court and take a lot of my time - not to mention attorney fees.

That depends:

If it was a woman burning the flag, I’d tell her Secret Service agents that the smoke might be bad for her failing health. Then while they were distracted putting out the fire, I’d probably spit on Hillary. Nothing worse.

If it was a man, I’d try to photograph Barack Hussein Obama in one of his last acts of contempt for out country. I wouldn’t even both spitting on him though. He’s on his way out and will soon be nothing but an old, bitter, unemployed loser. He’s not even worthy of spit.

I invoke my Fifth Amendment right to self incrimination and refuse to answer the question.

What would you do if your elected officials ignored the constitution and laws of the land?

Which is more important to our collective rights and freedom?

I am 73 years old and my family have fought in our military since the late 1600’a to defend out country...and if some ignorant son of a bitch burned a flag in front of me, I would beat the holy shiiiit out of him and then rub his face in the burning flag. He may have the right of free speech, but then so do I...and mine is superior to his.......................

That’s where I am on it. Permission for The burning of the flag comes from the top

Amazing to see on the New Jersey shore along at least a particular beach town American flags up and down. Tall flagpoles. After the latest terror attack in Nice France, a few French flags and all flying lower that the American flag where in San Antonio I see Mexican flags all over and flying at the same height as old glory. The irony is Texans have a reputation for standing up to this kind of thing it’s unwarranted. I find Texans infuriatingly wimpy man to man on these things. Why do they allow this?

And all over Long Island I see the flag. All over. They’re so misguided on Hillary but the have a devotion. To the flag and the country. Hmm

Well, it’s “protected speech” under the First Amendment. I would exercise my own right to free speech, loudly and at length. If the fool chose to assault me as a result of that, I would defend myself with any degree of force necessary.

Had a client inquire about the same conduct. Told him I could never advice lawlessness, but if he did, trial would be over as soon as we empaneled a jury with at least one military veteran or Conservative on it.

I also would have “tried the case on TV” first

Honor.

What is Honor?

Defending what is right and true and has value.

I was sitting at a bar having a drink with a 30 something woman, discussing life and its challenges.

She told me that she just inherited a “Pick-Up” truck from her father and was being harassed by a few guys that wanted to take the truck away from her.

I told her I would give my life to stop them.

Honor and Altruism are being lost when we are raising generations of people that have absolutely no foundation for their beliefs.

It’s free speech.
I would let them do it of course.
But I would not do business with the person or have anything to do with them after that. If they worked for or represent a large business or organization I would boycott them.

Boycotts are also free speech. So is shunning.
