ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. -- On the day a girl was going to celebrate her 10th birthday, she was found dead in her family's apartment by Albuquerque police officers, her dismembered remains wrapped in a burning blanket.

Details of what Gov. Susana Martinez and law enforcement officials described as an unspeakable crime emerged Thursday in a criminal complaint made public and filed against the girl's mother, her boyfriend and his cousin. The three were taken into custody late Wednesday night.

Police say the girl was injected with methamphetamine, sexually assaulted, strangled and stabbed before being dismembered. They did not identify her because authorities were still trying Thursday to reach some relatives to notify them of the girl's death.

The Diety is not benevolent. God has given man free-will and man uses it for good and for evil. These people chose evil.

God sent his son into a fallen world (it was intended to be different but that is what the story of Adam and Eve is about, free-will was put into man and it was used and caused the fall) to offer a way back to Him.

This is a fallen world first of all and yet you must admit there is beauty and there are good things despite it.

Because some of the fruits of a tree have fallen and are rotten will you refuse to see the beauty of the fruit tree and the goodness of it’s unspoiled fruits and deny yourself the joys of that?

I think your post in a round about way comes to the correct conclusion....

The easier it is to be a drug addict, the more likely it will happen.

Ask yourself this question, Is it proper to advocate bad policies to "fix" the natural affects of other bad policies?

We currently live in a cradle to grave welfare society where life choices often have very little impact on financial outcome and quality of life. If you are from a less affluent upbringing, you can bust your ass for 60 hours a week doing a low skilled job only to drive home at night in your 8 year old vehicle to a 1000 sq ft apartment in a not so nice area of town. --OR-- you can sit on your ass all day getting high in your 1000 sq ft apartment in a not so nice area of town collecting welfare and food stamps and WIC and section 8, and fuel assistance and Medicaid.

The quality of life in these two scenarios is not that different.

IF we were to put strict drug testing requirements on public assistance and IF we made it uncomfortable to live that way, more people would avoid it just like in your 1700's England example.

To sum up, our BAD POLICY of cradle to grave welfare has created a disconnect between the life choices you make and your comfort in life. This has lead to a drug epidemic. So this again prompts the question, Is it proper to advocate bad policies to "fix" the natural affects of other bad policies?

Do we want to create a police state and give the government the authority to monitor what people do with their money, what they keep in their houses, what they put in their bodies, who they associate with, where they go, etc... so that we can "fix" the natural affects of the original bad policy?

BEAUTIFULLY WELL PUT!

And a police state will spread the misery around to EVERYONE, there will be no escaping it then.

I know you didn’t.

I can tell, because you don’t know anything that I said. Nothing.

What you should do is actually read what I wrote to you, instead of listening to that loud voice in your head that tells you what I wrote to you in lieu of your actually reading what I wrote.

Or you can just to leave your head inserted just as far up your rectum as you can get it, because I have to admit, it’s pretty funny watching you argue with yourself all the while thinking that you’re arguing with me.

And no I don’t expect you are going to read this post either, instead I expect you are just going to listen to some random rant in your head about whatever.

You are aptly named.

Its funny how naive freepers are

I’d like to see one of them try to go to the airport and fly with cash and get stopped and have it seized and written a reciept for it and told it’ll take them years to get it back

It happens all the time.

The Drug War is now all about the cash

That is not what I meant in my earlier post. I question how a benevolent deity would permit this to occur. Vicious events like this ensure I remain non-religious.

Good, thanks for clarifying.

Though there are at least a couple of "religions" that might result in this kind of horrible atrocity against a child -- the first one I thought of is Santeria. The other one is the ROP.

Nonsense. Just like blaming guns as the problem in society.

Just last week my guns made disembowel a child...

You are conflating two different issues...

if they tested the people in those 3000 alcohol related deaths they would find other drugs in their system....weed, opiates, cocaine, etc....

alcohol when over used is bad, but lets not pretend these people aren't also using other drugs....

why are people so quick to open more and more people to mind altering drugs?....why?...

in Washington state, you can't open a newspaper or listen to the radio or drive a major arterial without having pot stores advertising 24/7.

its insanity...

all we can say to the drug whores is "may all your dreams come true"..

..and by that I mean, may you live among those you defend...

.you and your children.

.and your grandchildren..

..live among the animals snorting and injecting and smoking and enjoy...

I disagree

Every alcoholic I’ve known prefers alcohol first and foremost

I have known alkies who would snort coke so they could drink more

But if alcohol is the premier gateway drug as you suggest then let’s ban it....and cures the drug war period

One note.....alcohol related deaths doesn’t mean they died of heroin but we found alcohol in their blood

It means alcohol was the primary contributing factor either by overdose or disease or accidental death

If it were heroin or OxyContin it would be filed under narcotics related deaths

They generally test for these things thru toxicology or autopsy to determine cause of death or contributing factor

Washington state which indeed as a heroin and meth problem usually runs around a quarter of the deaths from all drugs combined in comparison to alcohol

Of course a lot more people drink than use heroin id hope

Alcohol related deaths nationwide are fairly steady as a percentage since record keeping started except the draconian drunk driving laws which are now totally out of control did help when applied within reason

The newest standards

One drink for a women and she’s DUI at .05 and car seizures etc is in my view as bad as the drug war excess

It's the food that is making us fat!!! Not our lifestyle choices and the amounts of food we consume and exercise.

Blame the cheeseburgers and fried chicken and not the fatass.

Are these people legal? In Albuquerque the Spanish names don’t indicate something like that.

I blame the perps, no matter what drug they prefer. It was their decision to use those drugs. The drugs did not inxidiously insert themselves into the perps’ bodies.

Wow, and all I was saying was that to equate guns with drugs was a bad analogy. But thanks for pointing out all that hidden agenda I had. Appreciate it.
