The German government has warned that in some circumstances a vegan diet can be harmful to a persons health, as the non-meat, non-dairy lifestyle experiences a boom in Berlin.
A purely plant-based diet makes it more difficult to give the body some of the important nutrients it needs, the government statement from last week reads.
Vitamin B12 is a particularly important nutrient that is almost exclusively present in meat, the statement adds, explaining that the only way vegans can consume it is by taking supplementary pills.

I remember at Lindsey Air Station at night coming back from Wiesbaden stopping off a street stand getting a cone bag of pomme frites (with mayo) and rindswurst in a hard bun to eat on the way back.....
I’d guess that we’d have to poll lions, tigers, jackals and hyenas to get the definitive answer what they think about vegetarians and ‘vegans’. My guess is the answer would be “mmmmm, they taste good.”
They’re usually the nuts that do it.
