Elite special forces raided a slum in Rio de Janeiro Thursday after officers providing security at the Olympics made a wrong turn and encountered gunfire. One police officer was shot in the head, and was recovering at a local hospital.
The officers from Brazil's national security force were using a GPS device to navigate unfamiliar streets when they took a wrong turn off a highway leading to Rio's international airport. Their truck was sprayed with bullets, and one officer, Helio Vieira, was shot in the head.

It’s really very good. It gives the country a look at what’s coming here if we keep on keepin on. It’s almost like getting cameras into Venezuela.
Actually Brazil has some of the more lax gun laws.
If I forget, remind me to avoid Brazil in general and Rio in particular.

Why we want the ability to block off certain areas on GPS, and why the left doesn’t want us to be able to do it.
I only see two things whenever Rio is mentioned.
Christ the Redeemer and slums.
They could easily hold the games in any number of US Cities, where the majority of venues are already built. But there’s no money to be made from that.
Heck Dallas Fort-Worth alone has enough High School Football stadiums to accommodate most of the events.
Maybe they need to send in Horatio from CSI Miami to clean up the mess.

All you have to do is find where MLK Blvd is, and that will give you a pretty good idea.
I think I remember seeing a movie or something (maybe “Kentucky Fried Movie” or something like that.)
In it was a hypothetical TV show called Danger Seekers where a white guy would go into a ghetto and yell the “N-word”... then the chase ensues.
Curiously enough flashing forward decades I saw a “Family Guy” episode where everyone knew the world was going to end or something like that and Peter did exactly the same thing. Only he came back home wearing a Crown, a velvet robe and a scepter saying “They respected me for what I said and the guts it took and they made me their king.”
