An electoral college map released Thursday from the University of Virginia Center for Politics projected Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton winning the November election by a landslide.
UVA altered its map to reflect recent changes in the likely political leanings of certain states, but Clinton still easily came out on top.
Larry Sabato, director of the UVA Center for Politics, explained what made the map different from most polls that reflect the more fickle tendencies of the electorate. The UVA electoral map focused on "the electoral fundamentals and fixed elements of politics that predetermine most votes, especially partisanship, demographics, and strong forces shaping the political landscape."
Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump saw a brief bump in the polls after the party's convention in July, but that lead later slipped as Clinton regained ground after the Democrats' convention the following week

I hope Trump has a ground game. The GOP cannot abandon the big cities. Trump needs to go into the inner cities and convince them that all those years of voting Democrat has brought them nothing but misery. If there ever was a time for a GOP candidate to get a larger than normal share of the black vote, this would be the time.

Dems don't need to rely on vote fraud when we've let them import new Democratic voters for the past 50 years. Now we've passed the tipping point. They can win fair and square.

When they started importing socialists from the 3rd world, control of voting machine was just a fantasy they stroked themselves to sleep with each night. Don’t think any of them thought they would get this far this fast..
Sure, mid week, this is what that guy was saying and surely it a sound prediction. But this is 3 months away. He is friends with all the RINOs in the Beltway area. I doubt he predicted the Eric Cantor loss, which is right in his backyard.

I want to be optimistic but can’t. If Trump wins it will be in spite of demographics. If the Dems win, they will import millions of gimmiedat voters and the Dems will have their monopoly on power but sooner or later the system will collapse. What comes after the collapse is likely a Venezuela type dictatorship. All the more reason to work to see that this does not happen. Already the country is so degraded that 40-something percent of the voters would gladly surrender this country to a crime syndicate in exchange for getting a few trinkets from the loot.
We let them do this to us. We've had opportunities to roll back or at least limit Ted Kennedy's Immigration and Nationality Act and we chose to do nothing. For 50 years now we did nothing. Republicans controlled the Presidency, Senate and House for 4 years while Bush was President and we did nothing. We had the chance to erase decades of liberalism and instead our elected officials chose cheap labor.
And now we no longer get to decide who runs the country. The third worlders that we've been importing for 50 years and their offspring do.
We needed Trump 16 years ago when we could've arrested this, changed course. Now it's too late. We just don't have the numbers.
