A 29-year-old man is accused of holding a gun to his girlfriend's head while she breastfed their 2-week-old baby, deputies said.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office responded at about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday to a home.
Deputies said the 22-year-old victim was breastfeeding her infant when Kevin Smith came into the bedroom, upset because she was feeding the infant breast milk from another woman.
Smith tried to take the infant away from the victim, who wouldn't give the baby to him, deputies said. Smith held the victim down on the bed and held a gun to her head and against her mouth, deputies said.
The victim's mother arrived at the home and heard screaming. Deputies said the mother saw Smith on top of her daughter, trying to roll her over so he could get the baby.
Smith went outside to his truck. The victim's mother told deputies that she took her daughter and the baby outside and put them in her husband's truck.
Smith was arrested and charged with battery, child neglect and obstructing justice.
Another Florida story...
No hope for the “parents” - God bless the poor infant, born into a crazy situation.
His girlfriend and GF puts baby in husbands truck???
That’s some dexterity there, breastfeeding while holding a gun to someone’s head. Doesn’t anyone know how to write a decent English sentence??? Incompetence starts at home.
It is a sad situation. I wish her well in getting OUT. Glad her mother came along (had she called her mom because of boyfriend's earlier violence?)
Yeah ... I hope it was that the grandmother put the baby in the grandfather’s (ie, her husband’s) truck.
LOL. I Can picture the guy holding a pistol to her head while bending down for a sip or two.. LOL
This violent dumbell is the man she chose to make a baby with? That child she was trying to feed should be given to the grandmother to raise. Neither ‘parent’ appears to have a full deck of cards.
Hope he gets the max.
Hope she has learned a lesson and has better judgment.
How does a person breastfeed breast milk from another woman?
Interesting way the story was written.
Amazing.
That article is so badly written you can’t even begin to guess what the author is trying to communicate.
Public education, no doubt.
“Man holds gun to girlfriend’s head while breastfeeding, deputies say”
We used to call that sexual assault if the woman doesn’t want it, not ‘breast feeding’.
But maybe I’m behind the times again. I still think that I see different bathrooms for men and women.
He didn’t become a psycho overnight. He was that way before.
A case of “Love is blind?”
Is it possible the mom is using the breast milk from another woman because mom is a druggie and Doesn’t want the baby to be exposed to drugs? Many types of drugs end up in breast milk.
CC
There are supplementary feeding systems that allow a mother who is not producing milk or is producing insufficient milk to feed the baby either formula or donated breast milk. These use a small plastic tube that is taped to the mother's breast with the opening near her own nipple.
The purpose is to allow the baby to learn to nurse at the breast and to stimulate the mother's own milk production.
Whether this is relevant to the situation in this article is impossible to tell because the writing is so completely upwhacked.
It would appear this man really craved drinking breast milk.
What a perv.
Mama to the rescue. Now mama, get them out of there completely.
