I disagree -- based on the story, the mother has sought out breast milk (donated apparently, for reasons unknown), and is doing the extra steps required to feed it to the infant.
It is a sad situation. I wish her well in getting OUT. Glad her mother came along (had she called her mom because of boyfriend's earlier violence?)
