Even if the builder replaces the siding with a product that doesn’t melt, what a heat load on that wall!

Waiting for AlGore to chime in citing proof of global warming.

There is a street in London that you really feel the heat on the sidewalk from the reflected sun off an all glass office building...

They have this problem with certain solar panels used in solar farms as well
All of this “green stuff” is just over priced garbage in my opinion.

Why is she just suing for 25K? She should be suing for the price of the entire house, unless homes in Ohio are selling for 25K new....

One going up near us is made of OSB. For supporting walls.
We have vinyl siding for over 30 years. We live in the country. Summers are hot, but nothing has ever melted.

One going up near us is made of OSB. For supporting walls. That's a good thing. OSB is designed for that. In the 60's and 70's we had houses going up that didn't even have sub-structure. They were single-wall houses (meaning the outer siding was the only thing attached to the studs, there was no sub-structure like plywood or OSB, it was basically formed particle board). At least with OSB, it's there to hold load along with whatever you use as your final siding material.

I had neighbors whose siding melted.
BBQ to close to the siding.
