Today, I had to have my 16 yr old cat put to sleep. She was not eating, or drinking, and could not climb kitty steps. She could not control her bladder. Last night is the first night she has not gotten on my chest when I went to sleep. She had hidden herself, and my wife could not find her to bring her to me. At the Vet office to day, she could not raise up on my chest even when I laid back at a 45 degree angle. I told her that she would be able to play with her litter mate who died of cancer in 2008 (after hurricane Ike). Thank for letting me remember her.
Oh, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your cat. What sadness for you! Yes, she will be reunited with her litter mate in Heaven. Thank you for having the courage to keep her from suffering any longer. Prayers for you. Try to dwell on the good memories.
Unfortunately it’s their time. I lost my cat about the years ago. She was 19. It was tough letting go. But I found solace that she was in a better place.
It’s weird but shortly after, I had a dream that she came to me, looking healthy and a shiny slick coat of fur (she always had a bad matted coat toward the end). I think it was a message that she was indeed in a better place.
Hang in there!!
So sorry to hear of your loss. These furry friends are like family, and they bring us great comfort so often. God bless you!
I am sorry to hear about your loss. Pets are such a joy. Sounds like you have many fond memories to carry in your heart.
So sad. Sixteen years old is a nice full kitty life. Go to www.rainbowbridge.com and you might find some comfort and thoughts about memorials.

I am so sorry.
She was lucky to have you!!
Prayers for you. Our kitties and doggies are family members and we miss them a lot when they leave us. What was her name?.
I am so very sorry. I do know what you are going through on some level. Three weeks ago, I found my 2 year old kitty, Callie, paralyzed in my closet. The vets thought either a stroke or a blood clot and rather than put her through tests that would have hurt her, I made the decision to put her to sleep. I am still heartbroken and keep reaching for her in the middle of the night as she always slept beside me. They say time heals but this pain will never end for me.
My blessings for you and your family.
So sorry to hear of your loss.
It took me a year to get over the loss of my cat Rooster.
Prayers from here.
I occasionally dream of my cat as well, who passed long ago.

What a lovely dream! A vision perhaps.
My cat is approaching 20. Deaf now but can still eat and sleep.
So sorry. My wife and I lost our 16 year old just a couple months ago. It’s still hard to know he won’t be climbing into bed with us. It’s certainly heartbreaking. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
My little calico cat just turned 18. She’s still healthy and I want her to be happy during the remainder of her life, which probably will not last long.
