Texas Waffle House robber armed with AK-47 shot by customer carrying licensed handgun
A man armed with an AK-47 robbed several customers at a Dallas-area Waffle House before he was shot in the restaurant parking lot by a man carrying a licensed handgun, police said.
The suspected robber, Antoine Devon Cooper, 26, entered the Waffle House in Desoto at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, July 7, police said in a news release.
After allegedly holding up several customers, Cooper exited the restaurant.
A customer armed with a pistol—worried because his wife was headed to the restaurant—followed Cooper outside and called out to the robber.

The guy is only a “suspected” robber? My goodness, it sounds like the arrested the wrong guy! Shouldn’t they arrest the guy who actually robbed the Waffle House?

No... Texans tend to have high regard for people who take out the trash in situations like this, particularly when it's clear what the trash were doing to get themselves shot. They'll issue a "No Bill" and that will be the end of it, except for the pool at work to buy the guy a commemorative gift, maybe a new handgun.
De Soto is in the southern edge of Dallas County. I think the city is largely Rat but I believe the good guy will be no-billed, especially since this occurred @16 hours before the black moslem terror attack on the

Protecting property is a weak defense. Knowing your wife is in the parking lot and an armed robber is headed her way is an extremely solid defense.

Story is, he called out to Antoine, and Antoine turned pointed his AK at him, at which point Antoine's life forfeited the protection of law.

That has long been a tradition with our servicemen, and I have no problem with those; they are pretty discrete. I am referring to the freak shows. Arms solidly covered, face tats, looking like Maori tribesmen. I also never saw a tat that improved a woman’s looks.
The other thing that freaks me out are all sorts of facial piercings, earplugs and hardware. I have seen people that looked like they fell face first into a fishing tackle box. People like that have something wrong with them, and I make no apology if anyone is offended by that.
