They are called “ketones” and the medical community have known about them for almost a century. It ain’t current news, folks.
When my blood sugar gets to a certain level, I might register a BAC over 0.08 on ketones alone.
Which is why I decline breathalyzer tests after telling LEO that I am diabetic. Then I’ll tell him, if he persists, to get a warrant for a blood test.
