[VANITY] PRESIDENTIAL POLL WEST GEORGIA:NON-WHITE VOTERS TRUMP 33%--CLINTON 67%
June 27, 2016 | nikos1121

Posted on 06/27/2016 10:58:01 AM PDT by nikos1121

Some friends and I conducted a non-scientific telephone poll between June 24 to June 26. I used the following cell phone number Area Code and Pre-fixes and a common first number found with each followed by three numbers at random.

706-302-5xxx

706-333-5xxx

706-416-2xxx

706-594-4xxx

706-780-1xxx

404-423-1xxx

678-633-0xxx

678-677-0xxx

250 registered voters "who plan on voting" were polled. Non-registered voters or registered voters who plan not to vote were not counted.

Affiliation was 37% Democrat, 44% Republican, 19% Independent.

Ethnicity: White 82% Non-white 18%

Military Family (active or retired): 23%

Question asked: If the election were held today, who would you vote for: Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton?

West Georgia, which is south of Atlanta, consists mainly of the small to medium sized cities of Newnan, Lagrange, Columbus, Peachtree City and Carrolton.

The area tends to be fairly affluent and conservative and votes usually republican.

The Columbus area has a large military population at Fort Benning.

Non-white voters tend to vote democrat over 85% of the time.

The poll results would be skewed towards the republican or conservative candidate. Still I find the result surprising, and may reflect other parts of Georgia.

Results:

Overall Trump 56%--Clinton 44%

White: 67% Trump--Clinton 33%

Non-White: 33% Trump--Clinton 67%

Military: Trump 81%--Clinton 19%

Republican: Trump 88%--Clinton 12%

Democrat: Trump 37%--Clinton 63%

Independent: Trump 68%--Clinton 32%

Nothing more conclusive than a non-scientific poll.

Uh... why isn’t Hillary getting 90% of non-whites?

It is as much or more scientific than other polls. We are at least given information. As to the location and demographics.

It’s probably a lot more reliable than the media polls we’ve been seeing.

It’s likely better than what we are getting from the liberal stream main media polling.

Georgia is going to be a swing state. Trump could do well with black voters in the Atlanta and Macon area.

Nevermind the ankle-biters. Your data doesn’t prove Trump is winning, but it definitely provides interesting information.

It’ll be interesting to see if traditional break-downs apply.

I’m guessing this is more of an “American” vs “Hyphenated-American” election. The election depends on if gay-americans, black-americans, female-americans, latino-americans, other-oppressed-americans consider themselves an American first or a hyphen first. I think Trump will bring out the “American” in a lot of hyphenated-people who can’t admit it publicly. Being more than a hyphen is the one thing Democrats can find shame in but being a hyphen hasn’t helped so while they can’t admit it they can vote for Trump.

If anything close to those trends occurs in the key battleground states Trump will win.

No scientific basis, but IMO if Trump gets at least 15% of the Black vote, then stick a fork in Her Thighness, she’s done.

It would have been more interesting and enlightening if you could have compared these results to an Obama-Romney race.

I live in this area and it is probably accurate. Columbus is a liberal hell hole and votes Democrat every time. The other areas go strong Republican. Quite a few Libertarian’s in the area that normally vote for a conservative Republican if available. Not sure about the evangelical vote as my Church is conservative Independent Baptist but I have a large group of people who swear they will not vote for Donald Trump because of his lifestyle.

I was not a Trump supporter, decided to hold my nose after he won the primary and would vote for him, fast turning rabid supporter as I see more and more of the mainstream Republican’s show their true colors. Trying to convince my Church family that even if Trump is not a strong Christian or even if not a good man that God used a lot of very bad people mightily in the Bible and if he can break the back of the ruling big government traitors then it is at least a start. If he turns out to be another bust then just another plank in the path we are headed and clearly documented in the Bible.

Hillary must be stopped at all costs.

If you called my house and you probably did. I politely declined to take the survey if I answered at all. Voting Trump. I think your percentages are probably close as I am very familiar with this area.

I believe your title numbers are backward.

Interesting straw poll though.
Your figures are fairly close. I can't find anyplace how many independents there are.
"Affiliation was 37% Democrat, 44% Republican, 19% Independent"

You also didn't take into what pollsters call democrats not answering the phone or I call corruption level. which gives the democrats 5 to 7% of the vote.
