Secede! I now believe it is time. Our country is broken beyond repair. There is no longer civil discussion and hasn't been for years. It is time for Texas, Oklahoma and other like minded states to go our separate ways and let the libs, gimmedats and refugees finish destroying what is left.
I have been around for a long time and don't post often. I have had enough! Fire away, I have my asbestos shorts on.

Secession’s possibility was taken away from the States at the point of a gun back in 1865. The Constitution was perverted then by a challenge to the SCOTUS and led by Salmon Chase and a Northern packed SC stating the North’s invasion of the South was legal. We were screwed then by holier than thous and are going to get screwed again by the holier than thous.
I guess I will point this out. Talking about secession is a civil discussion.

It’s getting nasty. The left are actively undermining the white middle class and want them to basically hurry up and die. Reminds me of Jack Hawkins’ character in Bridge on the River Kwai: “Our own man!”. Treason. The left are starting to get away with violence against conservatives. Trump is the only hope I can see. We’re in big trouble. I just don’t see where the sanity stops unless we all man the hell up in the western world.

If nobody did anything over abortion 40+ years ago when the WWII generation was still a big mobile force, I can’t see anyone doing anything over what is going on now. Maybe over massive economic disruption, but they have also found a way to make the poorest people the fattest people. Hard to imagine some sort of sustained revolt where hunger isn’t a motivating force and the poorest are well fed.

If there was no hope of a turn around, and a change; then yes, maybe secede. But with Trump already knocking heads together and shaking things up, I think we should give him and his plans a fair shot at salvaging the whole Nation.
