During the June 13 monologue on Conan, host Conan O’Brien referenced the Orlando terror attack and said no one should be able to own “a semiautomatic rifle.”
He described semiautomatic rifles as “weapons of war” that “have no place in civilian life.”

Conan and Fallon have no idea what a semi-automatic weapon is or what an AR-15 is. Their knowledge of firearms is zilch.
The rifle used by the Islamist terrorist in Orlando was not an AR-15.
Despite attempts by politicians and the media to claim that the common, kid-friendly AR-15 is a “weapon of war,” or “military-style,” actual military rifles have been banned from manufacture for civilian purchase for exactly 30 years.
The most common rifles, handguns, and shotguns are semi-automatic, or “self-loading” firearms. They fire one shot per trigger pull, and absolutely cannot be fired as machine guns.
