A vote for Brexit is now a very real possibility – we must be ready for it
Telegraph ^ | 7 Jun, 2016 | PHILIP JOHNSTON

Here is a confident prediction about the outcome of the EU referendum on June 23. The first result, to be declared at around 1am, will be overwhelmingly in favour of staying in. There will be an 85 per cent turnout – and 88 per cent of voters, or thereabouts, will be for Remain.

But since we are talking about Gibraltar, where the polls will close an hour earlier than here and just 22,000-odd votes need to be counted, it will tell us nothing about what is to come next.

The latest polls suggest that the Gibraltarians and the rest of us now seriously need to contemplate the prospect that Leave is going to win.

I have been abroad for the past few weeks, behind the Great Firewall of China and mercifully shielded from the day-to-day arguments of the various camps.

I had expected to come home to find Remain firmly in the driving seat, Project Fear having done its worst, but far from it. The most recent polls show a marked shift towards Leave.

It’s not those who vote that count, it is those who count the votes.

Exactly right, which is why democrats have retained control of governments for so long. Have 10 parties in total to count the votes from both parties, as well as people elected for the sole reason of counting the votes.

I support Brexit, the end of the EU and of the clintonite version of NATO, and NO North American Union or Reconquista (as advocated by Curiel’s La Raza).

Go Trump!!!! Free our British cousins from Brussels’ tyranny!!!! Dismantle globalism!!!!

It could be interesting. Between Brexit and Trump, there’s a very real possibility that the globalist structure as it currently exists will be substantially altered by then end of this year. Or alternatively, it might be the last gasp of a dying way of life . . .

If the EU would only increase their power over their member states they could simply order the Brits to vote no, and solve the problem.

Oh, let it be so.

Even then, the proto-fascist EU commissars and their lackeys in the UK will do everything to delay implementation, and will immediately begin planning another vote in the attempt to get the result they want.

The core of the globalist structure is central banking - the Fed and ECB above all. Until that is changed, the progressives and statists have the high ground (currency, debt creation, and money supply manipulation) and everything else is an interesting sideshow.

True, there of course would be a very long ways to go to even begin to unwind any of it. But I believe that Trump is on record in support of auditing the Fed . . .

Take the time to watch "BREXIT, THE MOVIE" on YouTube. It lays out just what the Brits got themselves into when they joined the EU!!!

if the brits vote to leave, their elites will promptly determine that the voters didn’t really understand the question and should be given another opportunity to vote once they’ve been properly informed on the issues. It make take more than one re-vote to get the result they want.

Everything will depend on how Parliament responds. After all, the essence of this debate is about restoring parliamentary sovereignty. It will be for MPs to decide.

That's actually the bottom line here. Americans used to the antics of Congress completely ignoring the clear will of the people when it suits them will wonder at the author's naivete.

The problem here, however, is that there is a pro-EU majority in the House of Commons; and while they will not spurn the will of the people expressed in the referendum, the method of our withdrawal – should that be the outcome – will be in their hands.

This will not end well...

I wish they’d just get it done. The damned thing is weeks away but they’ve been yammering away about it for the last year. It’s almost as bad as American presidential campaigns.

Call me a conspiracist or a pessimist or whatever, but I can’t see the EU letting this happen.

They will rig the vote or make the citizens vote again or just ignore the results. All three have happened before with votes that should have or did go against the ruling elites’ plans.
