An arrest warrant has been issued for a teacher in the Aldine Independent School District who is accused of having a sexual relationship with a 13-year-old student.
Prosecutors said Alexandria Vera had a sexual relationship with one of her students and also got pregnant by the eighth-grader.

I think it’s a “Girl Power” issue and that what they’re doing is an abuse of the empowerment they think feminism brings to them.

It would appear there is a maturation problem among females just like there is among males.
I really don’t see feminism feeding this. I’ve known a lot of them (feminists) over the years and unless there has been a radical change this isn’t their sort of issue.
I suspect it’s more a cultural issue. People tend to believe that latino culture is heavily Catholic but in reality there’s a whole lot of sexual looseness as well. I think this is just hedonism plus opportunity. Probably a physically mature kid for his age and a teacher who found him attractive. She’s used to doing exactly what she wants and little things like social mores are insignificant. Until she got caught.

It’s feminist activism because they don’t see themselves at all as being easy or as being sluts. It’s young women doing what they’re doing “because they can” and it’s feminism that tells them that they can. It’s empowering and that’s why feminism is attractive to them.

Well not to beat a dead horse but I saw similar behavior years before there was a feminist movement. This isn’t atypical in some parts of latino culture. It’s not WASP society.
Don’t worry, it’ll happen again because these women are teachers and because they strongly believe in their “right to sexual freedom” they think that what they’re doing serves a purpose and that they can change the way American society views the norms of human sexuality. In Sweden, there is a movement to legalize incest and necrophilia and many of those activists are young women too. Somehow, they got it into their heads that it’s time for such radical changes but they have been horribly misinformed.
My British Lit prof at college was in Playboy. She was u-g-l-y. On an aside, my Psychology prof dated Farrah Fawcett when they were in college but guess she dumped him since he didn’t have anything nice to say about her.
This perv stuff has been going on forever but only recently has society been calling it out. Why they don’t have adult relationships is baffling. Back in my high school days, the male tennis coach “coached” a little 6th grade girl all through school and nothing was ever done to stop it. A middle school hottie teacher “tutored” the high school varsity football team and not one boy complained. Imagine my shock when a few years later my work hired her to work with, you guessed it, kids. The Catholic priest had to quit the church to marry a teen after getting her pregnant. Yeah, surprise, a priest was more interested in a female than the alter boys as was the case with the alter boys in the next town over.
When our kids were in school, their math teacher was having sex with a high school boy. He didn’t tell his parents until she wanted to have his baby. On the flip side, a mentally messed up girl accused a male teacher of feeling her up. That was a lie but the cops were determined to make the charges stick and hounded him for so long that he committed suicide. Of course, nothing was done to the girl.
After looking at that pic, I sure can’t blame the 13 year old.

You’re giving this teacher far too much credit for being some sort of social justice warrior or feminist revolutionary.
She’s a hedonist, plain and simple. It’s really no more complicated than that. Occam’s Razor is your friend.
I’m all Occam’s Razor-ed out. I still think there’s more to it that involves what these women are getting into while they ‘earn’ their “teaching” degrees.

They say beauty is but skin deep, and with this tart that’s an understatement. She not only screwed up a 13 year olds head by having sex with him, she then murders the baby. How evil is her heart?
