From what I read the Nazis original plan was not to kill the Jews, it was to remove them. Not because they were such humanitarians but it was just easier moving that many people.

Absolutely - and I AM CONVINCED that they side with this bunch, so as to get them IN THE FACES of their political opponents (i.e., conservatives).
No other explanation makes any sense, considering that if they judged these people on their political views (subjugation of women, death penalty for gays, etc.), these are the LAST PEOPLE they’d want.

There were some different schools of thought amongst the Nazis. But I think Hitler made it quite clear in Mein Kampf as to what the ultimate fate of the Jews would be.
