I’ve always used “Complacent”.
Obama’s active supporters frighten sane people, but the complaisant republican politicians who enable his shenanigans merely disappoint.

Use whatever you want, but if you ever come across this word in your reading, you will know what it is.

I believe that they have the same root but slightly different meanings.
That’s fine. But this is the FIRST time I have ever seen “complaisant”.
The Uniparty traitors would be less complacent, if the American media would stop being so complaisant.
OMGosh, the summer DOG wars are on. Huge scene in the ‘hood last night and it continues with retaliation this morning. It’s gonna either be over when they get him to court or the longest summer on record. I cannot believe it. His dogs bark nonstop for hours, a neighbor just flipped and went down and yelled at him about it, his dog lunged at her and bit her....I saw it all and called the cops. Half the ‘hood gave statements last night and he got an appearance ticket. This morning he starts harassing her and throwing dog poop at their property. Cops were called back. Cop is coming for my statement later today. I cannot believe this has all erupted so quickly. My pool is not even open.
