same. Waaayyyyy before she does, and then I call it out “he did it” and why and she gets angry :)

She gets even angrier when it turns out I’m right, and she’ll tell me “well, I knew it too!”

“Women tend to be much more empathic. They tend to associate with people at an emotional level much better than men.’”

Gee,what a genius this guy is. :-)

They follow a pattern.

Many times, on certain dramas, I can point out who the killer will end up being.

Occasionally, the honor get split when there is more than one involved in the killing.

It has more to do with recognizing the pattern than following the clues.

Also, when certain low-key actors show up, you just know they are the culprit.

It’s pretty easy. If it’s a white male conservative Christian, that’s your killer.

You all do understand that the authors are deliberately trying to fool the emotions. Its not like this is a fair test of intelligence. Mystery writers often create emotional distractions because they know they work. Not because those emotional distracts aren’t real-life clues.

What works in fiction does not necessarily work in real-life. And what works in real-life is intentionally thwarted in fiction.

Because men naturally think like criminals? Just kidding.

Because women are naturally emotionally shallow wrecks? Just kidding.

The French-born academic said that older viewers were also likely to shy away from gratuitous violence on screen which is why programmes such as ITV’s Midsomer Murders has such enduring appeal.

Isn't this the truth. I can't stand all the gratuitous violence on T.V. and in movies these days. I grew up when Billy Jack was an R rated because it was considered too violent. Billy Jack does not have anything on today's regular prime time t.v.

This story is BS.

My ex wife was the best detective in the history of detection.

Not unlike God his own self, she would have smelled the guilt oozing from Cain and immediately known what he had done.

This woman guesses right about 95% of the time, whereas the man of the house is clueless.

*I* think the empathetic and emotional qualities we have only help solving the TV crimes. Plus, we pick up on all kinds of clues and men can’t tell you what color your eyes are - right?

Just like when I told him his sister was cheating, his brother was mad, and explained various problems at his workplace - and he scoffed until I was proven right.

‘Women tend to be much more empathic. “

When I figure out the endings of crime dramas, I try to put myself in the mind of the script writer, and guess how they would want the story to turn. Does that make me less empathetic, or more so?

Women can put aside emotion any time they choose. Just as men can tap into emotion anytime they choose. Same for many other thought or emotional components of people.

It’s all about learning to look at and experience things in different ways, rather than stay stuck in original patterns we each made as a child.

Really bugs me all the books about men are this way and women are that way. Teaching people to stay stuck and celebrate it (”this is how I am” baloney), instead of seeing if another way of viewing or dealing with things may help them be a more full, whole, calmer, healthier person and enjoy life and family/relations more.

It is the person who is wearing red.

Try looking for it, the guy with the red tie, the gal in the red blouse, they are generally always the villain.

The person in blue is generally innocent.

“Why men are best at guessing endings of TV crime dramas”

Because:

1. Men are criminals at heart?

2. Men think like criminals?

2. The crimes that are depicted are gender biased?

Henry has been surreptitiously listening to Philip and Elizabeth’s conversations with Paige. He knows everything that Paige knows.

He’s going to tell everything to Stan, who is secretly tempted to kill Oleg as revenge for what happened to special agent Gaad, but of course Oleg had nothing to do with it even if he hasn’t been preoccupied with Tatania.

Stan will bust Philip and Elizabeth. Gabriel and the older woman will just disappear. The younger woman who runs the spy room will be arrested by a canine officer from the local pd.

Martha will be repatriated to the US but Stan, who has been promoted into Gaad’s job because the first guy to replace Gaad was a putz, rescues her from culpability by bringing all of Philip’s evil to light.

William will be accidentally on purpose infected with some cultivated bacteria and die a horrible death.

Stan will also adopt Henry and be made Paige’s legal guardian as she has to the University of Virginia to major in theology.

Matthew, having come out of his shell, will go to the naval academy and eventually will become an FBI agent like his dad.

Philip and Elizabeth get convicted of espionage and numerous counts of murder. The last anyone sees of them is as they are being taken into the subbasement level of the supermax.

During the trial Elizabeth’s treachery with the Korean dude comes to light, and he and his wife and kids live happily ever after.
