Because:

1. Men are criminals at heart?

2. Men think like criminals?

2. The crimes that are depicted are gender biased?

Doesn't matter, male or female. Just look at the motive first and second the opportunity.

First motive is $$$, second is power, third is sex.

Not much gets past the $$$.

You can eliminate someone with lack of opportunity...i.e. they were in jail, on an airplane or already dead.

I watch wayyyyyy too much crime TV.
