AMITE, La. - Decked out in full cap and gown, complete with a valedictorian cord, Andrew Jones showed up to his graduation from Amite High School ready to experience his hard work paying off.

He didn't get the chance because of what he was wearing on his face.

"Eventually they took my gown," he recalled, "They told me they had to take my gown from me."

I went to catholic school in high school. Collared shirts, hard shoes, no jeans, hair off the collar and no beards. I shaved when I was 12. got an electric razor for my confirmation present. Pain in the ass. Still need to shave too often. my boss doesn’t like beards.

This Country is being destroyed by the breakdown of discipline.

He knew the rules. I’m sure your all for perverts breaking down the rule of girls bathrooms as well. The perverts are not “slaves” either.

What a stupid rule.

I am glad he didn’t give in. He doesn’t deserve anything for that, but I like how he stood up.

What did he think would happen? That when push came to shove the rule would disappear, just for him?

I usually wear facial hair. Sometimes, including at the moment, I have to shave for reasons outside of my control. The magical thing about facial hair is that it grows back.

I blame myself. It’s probably why I’m a libertarian.

Is it fair for the absurdities in life around the world to be so well-advertised? Fair to who or whom, I have no idea!

I can understand being libertarian but that doesn’t mean free for all. These kids are running the asylum and when they get push back they all act shocked. Is it any wonder companies aren’t hiring these kids? They think they are in charge. Nope. They are not.

Bullshit. He knew the rule.

Get your diploma in the mail and stand in line for your 200,000 dollar loan to the professor that loves you for 5 years.

Now when he applies for a job, and the employer goes a cursory web search, he’ll be black-balled as a potential trouble-maker.

...”It don’t make sense, every day of school I went with it, even more, I did shave,” said Jones, “I had like sides and everything, but I shaved that for graduation.”

He’s the valedictorian and speaks “English” like that? Must be low standards to be top of the class.

If it was up to me, I’d say yes, walk with your beard. But I will rip up your diploma instead of give it to you. Good bye.

.
.
.
Because nothing says tyranny like asking the kids to look good for graduation... asking not once, but THREE times

it’s almost like North Korea for God’s sake!

the humanity!

What possible purpose does such a stupid rule serve?

It serves as a guidance to discipline and respect.

I will never hire this individual. You can.

Someone hasn't been reading Ayn Rand.
“Did you really think we want those laws observed?" said Dr. Ferris. "We want them to be broken. You'd better get it straight that it's not a bunch of boy scouts you're up against... We're after power and we mean it... There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws. Who wants a nation of law-abiding citizens? What's there in that for anyone? But just pass the kind of laws that can neither be observed nor enforced or objectively interpreted – and you create a nation of law-breakers – and then you cash in on guilt. Now that's the system, Mr. Reardon, that's the game, and once you understand it, you'll be much easier to deal with.”
Selective and arbitrary enforcement of trivial rules is about displaying authoritah,
