HE WANTS TO ELIMINATE PRIMARY ELECTIONS?? SUBMIT TO CLOSED PRIMARIES SO WE HAVE 100% SUPER DELEGATES- UNBOUND??

There would be no reason to hold a primary election if the delegates were not bound to the voters decision and the election results.

He never stops. TED & CURLY (RNC Rules from ND) must be conspiring in this insanity together.

Ted will never be elected by a popular vote. So he seeks RULES CHANGES so that his chosen delegates will select him.

We need to contact all delegates and the RNC convention rules committee and let them know that, 'We the people' demand a voice and will not stand for this garbage. He wants to smother your vote and your voice. This was rumored, but this is the first time that I've seen his plan in print.

Ted is dead. The stench of his rotting political corpse is overwhelming. He doesn’t know when to STFU and honor the pledge he signed. He’s supporting Hillary and committing political suicide

Oh, after the fundraising deal that Fox just announced between Trump and the RNC ... EVERYONE is going to be jumping on the Trump Train!
He is going to raise huge funds for down ballot candidates in addition to himself.

Ted Cruz’s new campaign song:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qXIjE_gDw94

It is really sad, he could have been the VP with a lock on the nomination for president in 4 or 8 years. Now he seems to be a lonely figure marching away from every one and any future.

Unless he is somehow right and Trump is the anti-Christ.

Texas may be the greatest place on Earth to live but I will never know.

Sending Canadian citizens to Washington in order to run for President is a seriously significant dead giveaway to the political acumen of Voters there.

Frankly, I am not interested in having neighbors as dumb as the ones that I already have. Not worth the the transition.

Sounds like Cruz wants to be the "Republican" version of Obama - "My word is all you need - now sit down and shut up."...

He's turning into a cabal with a small core of supporters that cannot win anything by the rules he so vaunted when they appeared to be working in his favor.

He's officially dead to me.

Eliminating open primaries isn’t necessarily a bad thing - as long as they are replaced with closed primaries where only registered republicans can vote.

However, the “conscience clause” is nothing less than removing the voice of the people, just in case it goes against the will of the party. If bound delegates can unbind themselves, then the party deserves to die, and the party “leaders” deserve to politically wither.

My suggestion is that CANDIDATES appoint their own delegates, rather than it being done by the party apparatchiks.

Actually, closed primaries, in which only registered Republicans can vote, are fine with me. Such should be implemented on a state-by-state basis, or why bother having state parties?

As for delegates, if Mr. Cruz wants them all to be unbound, then why bother having primary elections?

Just call Ted “Flipper”.

Cruz is delusional and has the tendencies of a religious cult tyrant after being soundly rejected by the voters, so he must play delegate games of chance in order to prop up his relentless ambition.

Calculation is how he beat Dewhurst in Texas, to gain his US Senate seat, by just holding him under 50% for a run off.

Cruz won the run off, with only FOUR percent (4%) of the TEXAS Republican vote, under the hot summer sun when no one came out to vote big, but the activists.

4% and he thought he should be PRESIDENT! Math and calculation and skirting the edge of propriety and the Rules to win under the table and not in the open field with voters is his go-to tactic.

If it were not for TRUMP, the God-send, this poseur Cruz would be up against Hillary and would align the Democrat Left against himself over night, and solidly. Even Bernie supporters would flog to Hillary to stop this preachy know-it-all.

Thank God for TRUMP.

Honestly, I have cussed open primaries in the past, but this year I found myself thanking God for them, against this delegate flipper.

Cruz wants to keep delegates to win. I want them banished with the covered wagon.

Ironically, Cruz "won" in open-primary Wisconsin because the Democrats crossed over to make sure he "won", and stayed in the race.

The Democrats tried the same thing in open-primary Indiana, but Trump's voters state-wide clubbed Cruz like a baby Harp seal...

He can want to all he wants but legally he can’t. Open primaries are the results of legal action in most states that have them... If the state has a primary they must be open... So not sure what hocus pocus Cruz thinks he can pull on this but the simple reality is ideology as a driver for political parties is far more illusion than reality anymore. Both drive for the same goals for the same money men while offering ideology as cover to the masses...

This is why both parties are facing open rebellion against their establishments.
