Either target goes back to single sex bathrooms and changing rooms or they will be out of business. I used to like their stores but they are going to find out that social engineering and profits do not always go together.

This is what happens when companies’ leaders think they need to weigh in on social issues. To my knowledge, no one was waiting with baited breath to see what Target’s store policy was going to be in the wake of the passage of NC HB2. Yet the CEO couldn’t wait to get to the front of the parade. But to what end?
Did he want to be the hero of the media? Hollywood? The LGBT community? Or maybe just get some free PR?
Whatever, he totally has misread popular opinion - especially among his core customer base. The shareholders are going to filet him - and deservedly so. He’s on the wrong side of the issue - both basic moral principals and safety, but also among those that line the company’s coffers.
A totally un-forced error that will lead to his removal. But you just know he’ll land a cushy job with another retail company, no doubt a darling of the left. The media will make a martyr of him, for sure.
Why did this vapid putz have to say anything. He could have let it be, but no, he was thinking with his hind brain. “This will put me in good with the freaks and fairies....that’ll give us more business”.

Stock lost 5 billion in value is 3 weeks and he still has a job? Sounds like the board should send him packing. Maybe he can get a job as a restroom attendant in the third restroom.
I suppose one “fix” would be to have like 6 individual toilet sink rooms and do away with them being for one sex or other though businesses would shave to truly clean them every few hours as their cleaning papers don’t always look filled out in some stores/resturaunts I’ve visited.
Also have dressing rooms that are individual stalls with mirrors inside but big enough incase a parent needs to be with a child. I’ve seen some stores with dressing rooms like this(goodwill, walmart has them but I think in both mens and ladies department) that could serve men or women since the doors are in public view, kind of makes it less chance of inappropriate things happening.

I waited for the young store manager at my local Target and explained that I would not be going to any Target stores any more until such time as they reverse this insane policy. I told her that I knew it wasn’t her fault.

I’ve probably been to Target 10 times in my life.....I haven’t lost a thing there and wouldn’t go back anyway and I sure as hell won’t go now.
