Celebrity chef Jenn Louis has been arrested on suspicion of attacking her husband at their popular North Portland restaurant Lincoln.
Police showed up at the restaurant at 3808 N. Williams Ave. about 9:15 p.m. Friday following a 911 call by Louis' husband, David Welch. He told police that she had socked him in the nose and then left, according to Sgt. Pete Simpson, Portland police spokesman. When officers arrived, they interviewed Welch and took Louis' statement outside the restaurant.
Based on their accounts, Louis was booked into Multnomah County jail just before 11 p.m. on a domestic violence misdemeanor assault. She was released without bail.
Welch told The Oregonian/OregonLive that he finished his shift at Lincoln on Friday but only worked a half a shift on Saturday because of how he looked. He confirmed that Louis punched him in the nose.
"I'm fine," he said. "I'm not injured further than that."
He said the story was trivial but declined to provide details. He would not say whether he is pressing charges. The two are in the process of getting a divorce, he said. They've been married for 12 years.

She 'steaked' her reputation by making a 'punch.'
I’ve read all the posts so far, and am appalled at some of the responses.
In a State that is as BLUE as is Oregon, and here in California the legal system always backs up the female perspectives real, or imagined. Always.
The husband did the right thing by getting it established that she has violent tendencies. Having done so means during the divorce she cannot use the routinely abused BS of him being of violent nature that gains him potentially a lifetime of scrutiny, and problems.
He did the right thing. His alternative would have caused him the jail time, and rightfully so.
Same here. LOL. I looked at her picture, the location, her profession and said, “Jeez, lesbians are always so messed up”.
I thought the same
Staying with my elderly mom, I’ve been watching the Food Channel lately, and celebrity chefs are a weird lot. Many of them seem to have been raised by their mothers and grandmothers, with few if any strong males in their background.
You obviously haven’t had a guy friend go through a divorce recently.
You retaliate against your soon to be ex, and you’re going to jail, getting slapped with a restraining order, forfeiting the right to be around guns, etc....
My friend accidently hit his wife with a door as he went into a room behind her. She had slammed it shut, then turned around to face it. He opened it, the edge hit her forehead causing a bruise. Cops came, he spent a weekend in jail. He’s charged with FELONY assault 4, misses a shift at work because he’s in jail, gets fired, slapped with a restraining order so no home to go back to, his wife cleans out their joint bank account, his truck title is held jointly and because it’s at the house he can’t go within 1000 feet.
In one weekend he goes from productive member of society with a good job and a nice house to homeless and destitute.
The county DA is a radical feminist SJW.
So, I’d advise anyone going through a divorce to never be alone with the soon to be ex, never argue with them, and never let them provoke you. Lawyers that specialize in representing women in divorces coach them through what to do. My friend was totally set up.
Bingo! See my #26 reply.
LOL! You and me both -- I had the same first thought.
“You SOB!!!!!!!!!! You baked the brownies too LONG!!!!
KAPOW!!!!!!!!!!!
He did what he should have done given the laws these days.
The woman could accuse him of violence and he would have been forced to prove his innocence
You mean a male. So was I. Actually I initially thought the celebrity chef whom I never heard of, was a male.
Absolutely. Alisnky the lot of them, make them live up to their own laws.
All the ones I know are alcoholic nutjobs.
You’re exactly right. The “tough guy act” will destroy your life if there’s a bitter woman involved.
At least she didn’t jam his hand into a bubbling pot of spaghetti sauce!
This is wny Trump is winning. People are fed up with this BS.
There is something off about celebrity chefs. Even Alton Brown got a divorce, and he is/was a self-professed Baptist:
"I'm not a spooky snake handler because I live in Georgia and I'm Christian, that I believe in the Bible, that I travel with the Bible, that I read the Bible every day. I'm still me. I'm still a guy doing a job. I find, actually, that people ask me a lot about it."
That’s a horrible story; at that point, if you lost everything and have a felony record, you may as well OJ her and spent the rest of your life in prison. Plenty of time to repent and ask forgiveness...
Same here. I was surprised to read that too.
