I question the use of the word “secretly” when this news is being published in the very public Daily Mail.
Perhaps they meant “privately”?
So? The family can do as they wish
I never knew JW required burial or cremation with a week of your death...
Anybody know why?
I’ve never heard of anyone attending a cremation.
Unless one is a Viking, cremations are rarely public.
Anybody know why?
Because he's Prince.
When my mom passed away last month, it took almost two weeks to schedule her cremation and funeral. That's how backlogged the funeral home and church were.
It's a good time to be in the funeral business. There's a whole bunch of baby boomers and they're starting to drop like flies.
I don’t believe that the family is required to announce a date and time of cremation. I think the word they’re searching for is “private,” not “secret.”
A funeral pyre on a Viking ship with purple sails on Lake Minnetonka at sunset alit.. The Prince rising from the ashes .. Pain free. RIP
Any time I read about such quick cremations, I suspect there was something amiss that needs to be covered up. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia comes to mind.
There was an autopsy and I believe a toxicology report is forthcoming. An odd way to try to hide something, if so.
Agreed.
Detective Mark Furman and the noted Dr. Baden both agreed and stated on Fox that the results of toxology tests regularly are known in about twenty minutes or so after the autopsy is completed.
Why the delay, other than dramatics.

My late sister In law was Japanese. Her brother & father attended her cremation as is their custom. Her husband, my brother in law, just couldn’t bear to witness such an event. So he stayed home.
I hope the autopsy was thorough.
Why, do you think foul play was involved? I don’t, I think he’s had medical problems for a while that have been kept from the public. As far as exactly what I don’t know, but he wasn’t required to make any public disclosure.
there are services at the crematorium and the special casket slides into the oven.
".....did it glow with a bluish tint?
Why the delay, other than dramatics.

There are quick and dirty tox screens that can name the drugs.
Then there are the blood and tissue sample tests that are legally binding and needed for completed autopsy reports and legal issues.
