Florida also has problems with feral hogs, constrictor snakes like pythons and boa constrictors, and iguanas.
And conures. One has taken over my house, but I have promised not to let her loose.

Cant their bite be really nasty? I thought I read somewhere that because they eat roadkill and other garbage their mouths carry a cesspool mix of nasty bacteria, making their bites dangerous. That is very true. Their mouths are a cesspool. Their bite isn't deadly in and of itself, but in the wild they are known to bite their prey and follow it around until it dies of the infection from the bite...

I see they don’t care for waxed kitchen floors all that much.

Somebody on one of my FB snake forums posted a video of a Ball Python “swimming” on satin sheets.
It was making really great time and getting nowhere, fast.
One poster said satin sheets were like treadmills for snakes.

He was not wearing his khakis so it’s an easy mistake.

We actually did switch to State Farm because they do not penalize you for having Dobermanns or other...unusual pets.

That’s what I thought. I read it somewhere a few years ago.

Venom or bacteria, doesn’t matter to me. I hope I never encounter one and get bitten. ;)
Seriously though thank you for the information!
