Notorious slaver Andrew Jackson to be removed from the $20 bill and replaced by a prominent woman
Dailymail ^ | 17 April 2016 | By James Wilkinson

A woman representing the struggle for racial equality will replace Jackson

And a mural depicting women's suffrage will appear on the back of the $10 Exactly which woman will appear on the $20 bill is not yet known

But Harriet Tubman and Rosa Parks have been selected in an unofficial poll The rear of the $5 will also change, showing events at the Lincoln Memorial

The new $20 notes will not be issued until 2030 at the earliest

No US bills have featured a woman as a central image for over 100 years

Treasury Secretary Jack Lew will announce this week that Alexander Hamilton will remain on the $10 bill and Andrew Jackson will be pushed off the $20 note in favor of a woman from American history, CNN said Saturday.

The announcement will come around a year after an online petition called for Jackson to be replaced with a woman, and ten months after Lew announced he wanted to replace Hamilton instead.

But support for the Founding Father to stay picked up steam thanks to the hit Broadway musical 'Hamilton', and now a government source tells CNN that Jackson will get the push instead.

Rather than removing Hamilton from the $10 bill, the rear of the note will instead feature a mural depicting women's suffrage.

And Jackson will be ousted in favor of a woman representing the fight for racial equality, the source said.

But don't expect to be trading in your old notes any time soon - creating a counterfeit-proof bank note requires input from the U.S. Secret Service, the Treasury, and the Federal Reserve.

That means the new $20 note won't be issued until 2030 - at the earliest.

'We should not expedite the issuance of any currency for political purposes.'

Don’t worry numismatists, we’ll be a cashless society way before 2030.

Oh yeah? How about Anna Schwartz, Milton Friedman's co-author on the seminal A Monetary History of the United States, 1867–1960 and -- according to even Paul Krugman no less -- one of the world's greatest monetary scholars.

To be comparable to Hamilton or Jackson, the individual would have had to accomplish something that had a significant impact on the subsequent history of the United States.

There may be great Female Scholars, and Scientists, but the fame that is currently rewarded by being placed on currency is generally the result of some sort of statecraft.

Again, a Margaret Thatcher would qualify.... if we had one of those.... but we don't.

Had Sarah Palin won the VP slot, and had she succeeded into the Presidency, and had she done something great while President, then she might qualify for the honor.

But none of that happened, and neither has any woman in my memory of history, every done anything significant in the manner of statecraft.

Might this be a Black Lives Matter protest?

Is there any doubt it will be Tubman? That way, the floggings of white America can continue.

“”A social change regarding which I am becoming increasingly convinced was a mistake.””

Does give one pause, doesn’t it? I’m female but I could consider myself another gender I suppose, so I wouldn’t be tarred with the foolishness of some of today’s females.

But, but, but. . . MLK gets his OWN DAY, whereas ALL presidents must chare a single day.

Since when did earning something matter to the BLM, race-baiting panderers?

I suggest we remove all living and dead human beings from coins and currency. Replace them with the female image of “liberty”. Our coins were among the most beautiful in the world when they were used to celebrate the concept of liberty instead of being used to honor political figures.

In this election year, I often disagree with your posts. OTOH, you are absolutely right about Andrew Jackson who was probably this country's very greatest POTUS and one of its greatest men. Not only did he kill off Mr. Biddle's vampire bank but he paid off the national debt, and no one even THOUGHT about messing with the US during his presidency. The only black mark was The Trail of Tears. He also fought the despicable SCOTUS Chief Justice John Marshall to Marshall's death and replaced him with Roger Taney.

Previously, in the Battle of New Orleans, he had dispatched Wellington's brother-in-law, Brit General Edward Pakenham, to the nether regions, stuffed his thoroughly ventilated corpse in a cask of whiskey and sent it to the widow Pakenham as a warning to the Brits not to come back attacking the USA again. They did not return.

Rankin was also a half vast Marxist, reflexively antiwar and antimilitary, and founder of the fire engine Red Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom.

As a reminder to patriots, the Founding States had expressly clarified in the Constitution that the states were to use only gold and silver coin as official tender.
Article I, Section 10, Clause 1: Clause 1: No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts [emphases added]; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

I think that gold & silver coins were unconstitutionally confiscated when FDR was president, corrections welcome.

Jackson was the first Demoncrat to be elected President. He represents everything that the Demoncrat party stands for especially the slavery part for the Demoncrars since LBJ have been working towards enslaving the entire nation through overwhelming “free lunch” debt.
