By itself it means nothing. Lots of people who don’t speak English can sweep floors. However multiplied by 25 million and it becomes a bigger issue.

Wait until Spanish is made the official state language. Soon the Mexican flag will be raised over your states public buildings and the American flag lowered. For the idiot white it is known as conquest.

Texans rejected the one candidate who came out swinging on immigration in favor of the redistributor of teddy bears and soccer balls at the border.

Buena suerte!

When I was a teenager sometimes I pretended not to speak English when I didn’t want to deal with customers. With blonde hair and blue eyes I couldn’t pass the act off using Spanish so I learned just enough Croatian to be able to rattle of a a fast string of realistic sounding babble.

The San Antonio newspaper ran a heart-warming story about a 96 year old woman who was going to become a citizen after living in that city for over 60 years. They had to translate her comments because she could not speak English. Never mind that the law requires one who applies for citizenship to speak English, in many parts of the US you can live your life with out it.

My acquaintance thought that was kind of odd.

its common all over the country. America is quickly changing from a country, to a government whose only goal is to perpetuate itself. Who it has as its subjects doesn't really matter as long as it serves that main goal.

Would have been more significant if he was a cashier or customer service manager.

Call him a bunch of names and see how long it takes for the knife to come out.

“My acquaintance thought that was kind of odd.”

Why, what rock has he been hiding under for the last 20 years?

We had workers from Texas-Mexico up here a few years back. They were digging. Hit gas lines, blew up a few homes.

If he’s a floor sweeper, he’s probably not expected to deal with the customers. Still it would be polite of him to learn a little more than “No speak English”. I remember my ship visiting Puerto Rico in 1962 and using my poorly learned high school Spanish to show some respect. They appreciated it, even though most of them spoke English.

This is news worthy? It is common here in the Houston area. Common as dirt.

Go to any grocery store, restaurant, etc, in Texas, and this is what you’ll find.

Heck...not just TX....last time we were in HI.....yes, HI.....same thing. The busgirl knew NO English. I asked her (in Spanish), and she said no. I asked her how long she’d been living in the US. She said just over a month.

Who is flying these illegals to HI????

Some who claim not to speak English actually can understand and speak more than they claim. Some use it as a dodge to not do the parts of work they don’t want to do, or maybe to not be bothered by answering questions.
