Nope - she scowled at me like it was my fault. You know - me sitting at the edge of the road and in my own lane and all!
You’re right!
I completely agree with you that 45 year olds should know better. But I don’t excuse young adults or their parents either. I would never let a two year old run out into the street alone because they don’t know better. These teens and older have to know that operating a vehicle is a responsibility and given the fact that they have control over something that can easily end people’s lives, they need to start acting like they can handle the responsibility or they should lose the privilege.
No one should have the “right” to endanger your life by their reckless behavior and it’s always the other guy who should stop until that time it isn’t the other guy anymore.
Many women are simply compulsive about social media and....
Shopping.
My wife included.
We drive that way a couple times a year. Not much room for error!
"Many critics believe that resources would be better spent preventing texting while driving with campaigns such as AT&T's "It Can Wait" ads. Texting while driving causes 1.6 million accidents per year, and is responsible for 11 teen deaths every day. It is the number one distraction reported by teen driving, causing similar effects to driving after four beers. Texting while driving, however, often comes with no more than a fine."
“All driving is give and take”
That’s a nice thought. On the other hand, I really get ticked off at people who perform their “random acts of kindness” at the expense of other drivers as though it should be a lesson to us all.

Here’s a crazy bad parking job. BUT - she does get points for never letting go of her cell phone to her ear!
“... because I talk aloud about moves that other drivers are about to do. Most times I’m right.”
Ha - I do that too, much to my kid’s amazement.
“Okay kids, in five seconds a silver BMW is going to cut in front of me on the right.” (Of course I use my mirrors, and can see the idiot moving in and out of the lanes behind me. And I am not tail-gating the guy in front of me so there is room.
And when I’m wrong? “Well - if he HAD cut in front of me I would have been ready for him.”
The difference is that people think that it’s terminally offensive not to respond to a text the instant that it arrives.
All those other things you cited are optional and can wait, but that text MUST be answered right away.
Notice in many situations when it's your people killing people it's no big deal but when it's THOSE people killing people EVERYONE LOSES THEIR MIND.
That’s terrible in its awesomeness! Did she spit on the yellow car as she walked past it?
Cell Phone Use While Driving Statistics
Nearly 330,000 injuries occur each year from accidents caused by texting while driving.
1 out of every 4 car accidents in the United States is caused by texting and driving.
Texting while driving is 6x more likely to cause an accident than driving drunk.
It is purely sexist. Men were seen to have been the majority of the drunk drivers so they went after them. They won't touch the teen girls who can't do anything without their cell phone.
