One of the victims, identified in court documents as "Individual D," told prosecutors that Hastert "put a 'Lazyboy'-type chair in direct view of the shower stalls in the locker room where he sat while the boys showered."
I agree.
Your points are good ones, especially the use of the truly evil “financial structuring” laws.
Hastert claimed in 2014 he was be being extorted by someone he said was making a false sex-abuse claim. He then agreed to let investigators record phone conversations he had with the man, and prosecutors concluded the man’s tone and comments “were inconsistent with someone committing extortion.” So he will be charged with one count of lying to bank officials and the FBI about the reason for the unusual withdrawals. And that is probably about all. Prosecutors already noted the statute of limitation on any sex-abuse charges have long since run out, making the banking charges the only ones they could pursue.
What an effing perv
Put his ass down
I didn’t mean to be humorous. It is a scandal that gay Boy Scouts are allowed to be in close proximity to boys they lust after. We don’t mix Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts together. Why do we do this?
Good point.

Sitting in a chair watching boys takes showers isn’t by itself nefarious. Why is this the only “detail” that is mentioned? Surely all this angst isn’t built on boys resenting being watched while showering.
Of course, we don't know if the boys fighting was a good thing or a bad thing from his perspective.
After being censured for his inappropriate relationship with a 17 year old boy (from Wikipedia): "Studds received two standing ovations from supporters in his home district at his first town meeting."
