What if...Trump wins WI
self | 4/4/2016 | self

I've seen all the articles and have listened to all the anti-Trump pundits on Fox News etc. gleefully predict how Cruz is going to win WI tommorow.

I was, however, thinking...what if Trump pulls out a win?

It will be so much fun watching Charles Cooke and Rich Lowery and Ben Shapiro and all the other Trump haters explain how THAT happened.

I’m not really expecting Trump to win, but if he does, it will be awesome and the Cruzlim sour grapes are going to be off the charts considering how pumped up they are with the certainty of victory they currently display.

The GOPe will still give the Delegates to Cruz.

If you think the GOPe will allow Cruz the nomination, then you have been smoking too much of the good stuff.

Most likely, the deal is You stop Trump, and you MIGHT keep your Senate seat afterwards, and we will kill the media stories about your mistresses.

The 10 point lead tha Cruz had last week is over, he will still win but by less than 5 points, a personal prediction.

What if...Trump wins WI ...

... and I win $30,000,000 in the lottery.

I'd probably buy a new house and that slick new Jag. Maybe a cruise around the world.

The pattern is pretty well established. If Cruz gets the minority share it’s reported as a win. No matter what we are in for weeks of non-stop BS leftist spin about it being over for Trump. The NE states are coming though and it’ll be sweet to see Cruz’s charade hit it’s final demise.

It's doubtful but not impossible. It depends on how many demonRATs and Independents come out for Trump.

It's pretty sure that Cruz has about an 8-10 point lead among pubbies but Trump's real strength is in bringing out new and different voters.

It will be interesting and if it happens, you are right, heads will be 'sploden all over mygyn kelly's panty-less thighs and blood will be everywhere.

Every time I think, well, I like Trump but he's too all over the place and inconsistent, then he comes out with statements of such common sense and clarity that I become convinced, again, that he's the only one who can lead us through the tide of Bulls!!t that has become our culture.

Yesterday, for example, Mike Wallace was asking Trump why he didn't just apologize to Michelle Fields, the twit reporter who claimed she was assaulted by Lewandowski. Trump just looked at Wallace in amazement and said, “She lied. Why should we apologize if she lied?”

Wallace, however, would not let up and kept insisting that Trump's campaign should have just apologized to avoid the bad press coverage. That's why we are in the position, as a nation, of letting the minority interests cow us into submission with their ridiculous demands and outrages.

So, I don't care any longer if Trump mixes up Iran and Cuba. I don't care if he insults women by blurting out everything that comes to the top of his mind. I don't care what his position was 5 yrs ago and I don't care if he wants to revamp NATO.

Cruz was my favorite early on, but the more I know about him and the more I see him operate, the more I lose respect for him. His college roommate came out very much against him—despised him, actually. Trump's military school roommate came out and said Trump was a fantastic person. Over the years Trump has built a fortune and made a lot of lifelong relationships with people who think the world of him. None of Cruz's workmates seem to have liked him much at all. I used to think that was just because he rocked the boat, which is what he wants us to think. Now I think I can see why.

I don’t think they will allow Cruz the nomination, but they will use Cruz like a piece of toilet paper.

I like your idea and hope the Trump campaign uses that.

Don’t worry, Cruz and the GOP-E will find a way to steal away his delegates.

I don’t watch any of those people that you mention.
I shut off the television long ago and get my news from many online sources.

We have a day to go... If Trump wins, he wins, if he loses he loses, but other than giving the the anti trump media and pundits a few weeks of “Oh the tide has turned” reporting.... it really doesn’t change the overall outcome.

2 weeks later NY votes, and Trump will trounce Cruz there, taking most if not all delegates for the state and remain very much on target to get 1237.

The only thing a Trump win or Loss in Wisconsin changes is the spin that will come after. Trump loses WI it will be above story.. if he wins, it will remain the “Trump must be stopped” story that is currently going on.

I Believe WI will be close either way... Tomorrow all the conjecture goes to bed, and we see what happens. I think worse case for Trump out of WI is he loses, but he will still get IMHO even worst case 2 of the congressional districts. We’ll have to listen to 2 weeks of “Oh the tide has turned” and then NY will vote, and Cruz will exit NY with no more than a handful or 2 of the 95 delegates NY has up. Trump remains well on course for 1237+ and Cruz gets officially mathematically eliminated on the 26th.

Neither will become President.
So it does not matter at this point.

I personally don’t think that a Cruz win there would do much but to forestall the eventual plan that Cruz THINKS he can win with in a contested convention. His problem is that he has no guarantee or assurance the devil’s deal he’s made with the establishment will be honored in the least. He’ll only succeed in cementing the very great possibility that MILLIONS of disaffected former Republicans will throw the whole damned party on the trash heap. Take that to the bank.

It doesn’t really matter either way. They will both receive a good number of delegates.

Mr. Trumps goal is to come away with 18 delegates. Cruz’s goal is 33, although realistically he needs all of them.

What if thousands of tiny leprechauns fly out your ass and all pledge eternal fealty to the Bern?

What if the man in the moon rises off his lunar throne, comes down to Earth and orders all humankind to henceforth desist eating chucken in any form?

What if tomorrow morning all the trees on Earth speak as with one voice and endorse John Kasich for President?

What if...

I'm a strong Trump supporter. I think Cruz wins Wisconsin by 5+ points. I think it will be heralded as a huge upset - a la Iowa. And then, in another three weeks, it will be another "that was a nice win but..."

After New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania - Wisconsin, like Iowa, will be a small, insignificant speed bump.

The pundits are greatly exaggerating the death of Trump. So are Cruz supporters.

Cruz win by MORE than 10%, and picks up all but one Congressional District.

come to FL where more and more , and another two said this morning they hate him and will never vote for him. Trump or nothing here in FL.

Trump or nothing? LOL. If Cruz is the nominee and you refuse to vote for him, please just go away to some 3rd party somewhere and be forgotten about.

The GOP doesn't need crybabies like you. It would be better off not counting on your vote at all, ever.

I basically detest Donald Trump, but if he is the nominee I will choke down bile and vote for him. I will do that in order to help keep Shrillery out of the White House.

Anyone who refuses to vote for the nominee (whether it be Cruz or Trump), and this includes the ridiculous #nevertrump people, are utter fools.

So if/when Trump doesn't get the requisite number of delegates, and when he goes on to lose the 2nd or 3rd ballot to Cruz (mostly due to the fact that Trump has alienated pretty much everyone by the sleazy, gutter campaign he has run), if you can't suck it up and vote for Cruz then please just exit the GOP, find some worthless 3rd party and stay there.
