Friends and neighbors of a man who has been charged with killing his son because he was gay said Saturday that the young man had a troubled history and was involved in several incidents that resulted in the police being called to the house.
On Friday, Shehada Khalil Issa, 69, of North Hills was charged with fatally shooting his son, Amir Issa, 29, outside the family’s home earlier this week because he was gay, according to the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office.
“The murder was committed because of the victim’s sexual orientation and because of the defendant’s perception of that status and the victims’ association with a person and a group of that status,” prosecutors said in a statement.
Issa was arrested at the scene and booked into the Men’s Central Jail on one count of premeditated murder. He is being held without bail.
The shooting occurred about 9 a.m. Tuesday at the family’s residence in the 15000 block of Rayen Street.

Their lifestyle both leads to, and is caused by, a very predictable host of serious problems - disease, mental illness, drug abuse, destructive behavior, violence, suicide, etc....

So to that system, homosexuality is inescapably unbalanced. It's literally like pouring gasoline on a fire instead of water, and adding more fire. Health, whether physical, emotional or mental, cannot long survive unscathed in such an environment.

According to the article, she’d apparently been dead for a while, bloodied on the bathroom floor. The son was refusing to move out of his makeshift apartment in the back of the home; the parents wanted to renovate and sell. The son reputedly had drug problems, police had been called to the residence before due to this.
That would be my guess. The Times seems to be making this about LGBT, all the time.

Yep, and I'm calling this one as gross negligence by the cops and a malicious prosecutorial politically correct cover up of murder by a known violent degenerate homo druggie.
If the cops had enforced the law fully and correctly the 29 year old homo druggie would be in custody and treatment when the 69 year old father/homeowner called the cops and reported his crimes and vandalism, and the 68 year old wife/homeowner would be alive.
It is a lot to hide.
My personal opinion is that the LA prosecutor is blowing smoke up everyone’s tush in order to generate publicity and political points. There is no reason to believe the son was shot because of his sexual orientation. I think this was a family dispute about the eviction and the son’s history of drug use that escalated into homicide.

The Times latched on to the gay because it defends anything gay whether it’s true or not.

The LA Times should be getting REAMED by the entire journalistic community over their criminal mis-reporting on this story. The son murdered his own mother...and was shot and killed by his father. The son had a history of drug abuse, and also served time after giving a gay lover a 5-inch gash on his face with a knife. This had NOTHING to do with his being a faggot.
I think the man killed his mother. The cops shouldn’t call this a hate crime; who killed the mother? The father had many years previous to kill his son for being gay.
Slashing his, er, boyfriend’s face with a knife makes it all the more likely he killed his mom with a knife, ergo dad shot him. I can’t believe they are leaving important information out of this article. OMG, life is getting seriously weird.
