I think they have to have a permit to have an event. I don’t agree with this mayor. I can understand security concerns, but I think that cities should let the campaigns know that increased security costs will be billed to the campaigns. Tax payers should not have to pay for it.
I spent 3 weeks in West Hollywood in 2007. The area I was in was nice. The part you are describing sounds like downtown San Francisco.
