In the wake of recent terrorist attacks, Belgium’s Parliament is considering, and is deemed likely to pass, legislation requiring non-EU immigrants to sign a “Newcomers’ Statement” pledging adherence to basic European values. While it doesn’t distinguish among immigrants, the statement is obviously aimed at Muslims. The concept is an interesting one; here is the Statement in its entirety:

Won’t work. It’s based on the Judeo-Christian premise of the conscience pricking one to tell the truth/keep a promise. Most Muslims have no conscience and won’t have a problem lying on this pledge. The word of most muslims is worth less than dirt.

By signing it...it’ll create one fundamental problem for new Islamic people coming in....you agree that someone can quit the religion. That’s the one waiver that Muhammad did not write into the religion and there is no duality within the Koran to cover that gimmick.
If you sign this and four months later in some public setting or other interview....you insist that no one can quit the Muslim religion...all they have to do is pull out the statement...show the signature, and start to process of sending you back to where you came from.
The duality of the Koran always allows a member to lie to a non-Muslim individual. But to agree that you can quit the religion? I think that will be a game-changer.

This Nasheed is a traditional Islamic song that the Ansar (residents of Madinah) sang to the Islamic prophet Muhammad upon his arrival at Medinah to welcome him after completing the Battle of Tabuk.

all four children of Lieutenant Colonel Kato Martinez and his wife Gail (killed in the Brussels attack) suffered severe burns. Daddy is in the ICU. The children are severely burned. Mom is dead.
Think that "Newcomers Statement" is going to make a hill of beans difference? Tell that to the Martinez family.

I don’t think it’s racist at all - it’s realist. We’ve been beat over the head to preserve our towns/states/national treasures for our grandchildren to enjoy. So we did. Now we’re told, we did such a good job that foreign workers need to be brought in to replace us. We’re not allowed to age in peace or to be a country with a smaller population. And the governments that allowed the migrants under the guise of inviting desperately needed foreign workers dumps the cost of providing housing, training, unemployment allowances, crime, etc., onto the ageing, smaller population, who is already supporting their existing needy of housing, training, unemployment allowances, crime, etc.
We’re like the factory worker that has to train their Chinese replacement before they’re laid off. We’re the homeowner being told to downsize to a condo so someone else can have our house. It’s a betrayal on a wholesale level across the northern hemisphere.
