A chain where business is all about moms was just named the best pizza restaurant in America.

Papa Murphy’s ranks as America's favorite pizza chain, according to Market Force Information’s annual quick-service-restaurant study.

This is the third year in a row that Papa Murphy's has snagged the top spot — despite the fact that its sales are nowhere near Papa John's, Domino's, or Pizza Hut's.

Life is too short for mediocrity.

Can I steal that? That is the perfect answer to my wife when I want to spend a little extra for something better than average...

Has anyone here had them before, is it worth ordering online from them?

I've had them. Better then most chains. Not worth ordering and having to pay shipping.

I love the frozen California Pizza Kitchen pizzas.

I can't stand this Papa Murphy's pizza. It's inedible, IMO. And I can eat pretty much anything with some sauce and cheese on it.

The ingredients are presumably the same- you are cooking it yourself, everything is measured. So I doubt there is much difference except with different home ovens. (which actually with pizza can make a big difference).
There are so many places with better pizza I don’t see the point in getting theirs.
The reality is 9 Sunday’s out of 10, I make homemade pizza.

I’ve never had the take and bake, but assuming it’s the same as in store hot- best pizza I have had outside of NYC, I love it. My husband thinks it sucks lol, he prefers my homemade (thin crust).

its a pretty good restaurant business model where you provide the fixings and your customers provide the cooking

Very true. I think they are high price considering it's not even cooked.

Of course you can “steal” it. I probably stole it myself, but I don’t remember for sure. :)

The double-pizza is the best. Just when you think they are done preparing your pizza ... they build another on top of it! Very yum!

They’re OK, but not great. The thin crust pizzas are pretty good if cooked on high heat.

We usually do Papa Murphy’s or Costco for pizza. I prefer Papa Murphy’s over Costco because I can tell them PM people to put ‘light sauce’ on it. Costco puts too much on...and not enough cheese by a LONG shot.

Since I live in Western Washington, there are no really “good” pizza places.

I think I’ve tried ALL of those, lol. The new Queso Fundido one is pretty good.

Pizza shop ovens are at 700~900 degrees, home ovens mostly max at 450.
*****************
Not true ,, both the Domino’s and Pizza Hut’s in my area have ovens visible from the order counter .. both are gas conveyor ovens and have digital controls with led displays ... I have always seen them set between 500 and 550 degrees and the belt is set to run a pizza through in 5.5 to 6 minutes.

LOL, or like my mother in law, have all your teeth pulled for full dentures, then...you can eat anything as hot as you want (or so she says!)

Sounds like automation has already begun.

Obviously at the new Democrat 15 bucks an hour mandated wage the rest of it can be done pretty well by machines also.

Well, I guess the really hot and dangerous part is always on top with pizza at least!

Good for you that you do.

Actually, having lived most of my life at or around sea level to + 600', it took me a few months to realize why everything took longer to "cook" (even boiling water and it still wasn't as hot I found out)(I finally remembered my elementary school science...)
