A chain where business is all about moms was just named the best pizza restaurant in America.
Papa Murphys ranks as America's favorite pizza chain, according to Market Force Informations annual quick-service-restaurant study.
This is the third year in a row that Papa Murphy's has snagged the top spot despite the fact that its sales are nowhere near Papa John's, Domino's, or Pizza Hut's.

All crap pizza when compared to REAL pizza with good crust, fresh ingredients, and proper cooking.
Even though I’m not anywhere near wealthy, I will pay double price or more for truly good pizza. Life is too short for mediocrity.
They’re good and you can watch them being made. Take and bake. Good.
Not if you have to travel 50 miles to get it!
It’s good fresh ingredients. You take it home and bake it.
Not greasy.
Nothing spectacular, but good.
No delivery. You pick up the unbaked pizza at the store, take it home and bake it. It’s fresh, hot, and if you follow the baking instructions, very good.
It can be greasy at times, especially if you get a pizza with a lot of pepperoni, but the pizza is better than any of the chains and is always fresh and hot when you eat it. Also cheaper than the delivery places, about on par with a big name brand frozen pizza from the grocery store.
Glad you asked. When we lived in Plumas County Ca. we would drive to Quincy where there was a Papa Murphys. They do everything with a pizza except bake it which you do at home. The reason they are so good (besides the crust) is that they really, really load it with nothing but good stuff. Ounce for ounce it will be much heavier than run of the mill pizza, therefore you will eat fewer slices to fill you up.
Is it better than a Digiorno or a high quality frozen pizza?
I always thought frozen pizzas didn’t taste as good as the ones from the restaurant because a regular oven doesn’t get as hot as a pizza oven.
So true about oven temp (just like brewing coffee)
Pizza shop ovens are at 700~900 degrees, home ovens mostly max at 450.
Papa Murphy's slogan is love at 450 degrees.
For 2 bucks less, you provide the energy for a semi cooked pizza for their $1.00 worth of material.
My opinion only.
That’s too bad. If you ever have the chance, try them. Our favorite is their gourmet “delite” veggie pizza. It’s delicious, and so different from other places.
Yes, same here as always. Real good pizza is not common. People always trying to cut corners and save money due to Obama’s deliberate crap economy. Always worth a few extra bucks!!!
Yeah, it’s good clean food.
Much better than any chain.

All about moms? I thought this article/thread was about ovens. What the heck is going on here?
ping
We have one near us. It’s good but kind of a hassle. You have to cook it yourself.
