I agree with Quin Hillyer. Donald Trump’s comments on abortion — first advocating punishing women who abort then backtracking hours later — were indeed a “mess.” They played into the hands of abortion advocates in every way — helping caricature pro-lifers as “anti-woman” and raising the specter of back-alley abortions. So far, Trump’s pro-life conversion has mainly served to make Planned Parenthood look good (he can’t stop praising the nation’s largest abortion provider) and the pro-life movement look bad. He simply has no idea how to talk about arguably the most sensitive issue in politics.

This is the kind of delusional thinking that is rampant in the PC conservative movement. Pro-Life is already lost. They cut up babies and sell their parts. One really gross abortionist is in jail, the rest are running free to kill again. The only thing left is to formally legalize fourth trimester abortion, i.e., your mother gets to kill you whenever she wants to.
After Donald J. Trump finishes doing all the things he has promised: build the wall, deport illegals and Syrian invaders, cancel Obama’s unconstitutional executive orders, roll back twenty years of intrusive government regulations, prosecute Hillary and her crew, release the secret 28 pages from the 9/11 report, negotiate prescription drug purchases, repeal and replace Obamacare, simplify the Tax code, repatriate $2.5 trillion in off-shore profits, stop the IRS from abridging the free speech of Christian Churches, reform the libel laws to remove the “public figure” distinctions, defund Planned Parenthood until the stop doing abortions, cleaning up the mess that is the VA, cutting waste, fraud and abuse where ever it is found, canceling Common Core and returning control of education to the States, end the assault on the Second Amendment, audit the Federal Reserve System, investigate the harmful additives in Vaccines and the coverup of studies at the CDC, and destroy the culture of Political Correctness, then we can talk about all the other issues that need to be addressed.
I have not seen either of them comment on Trump's recent blunder. Have you?
What is this “pro-life cause” spoken of? Hanging out in front of clinics with signs imploring women to do the right thing is not much of a cause, IMO.
The 9 member cabal shut down any political “cause” on this issue in 1973. There is now no recourse at all, save for a constitutional amendment or the court throwing out a precedent. The title of this thing is ridiculous.

The damage was done by the Supreme Court and unlikely to be undone in any foreseeable future.

I noticed Mr French conveniently failed to address the question that Trump was asked, that is, if abortion is murder what should the punishment for the mother be if abortion is made illegal?
This is a question that all of us anti-abortion need to come to terms with.
I’ve yet to hear a logically consistent answer.
The media and the dems will be pounding on this nonstop through November.

Standing on the street with a cold wind blowing, did not seem to be anything happening in the blue building, feeling a bit sorry for myself, wanting to get warm.
Then
A dark haired young woman approached me from the convenience store parking lot. I said, “Hello." She spoke not a word, but extended a hand to shake. She silently looked into my eyes, then handed me a note.
"24 years ago my mother went to a place like this because she thought she was too young and she couldn’t financially take care of me. She saw people like you and stated crying and drove away. 9 months later, she had me. I want to thank you all for what you do and what you stand for. Because of people like you, I’m alive. 2 weeks ago I saved a 3 year old from getting hit by a truck. If I hadn’t pulled him away he would have died. So in a way people like you saved his life too. Keep it up. Pass it along. God bless you all and God bless America."
