As the father of three daughters, I reserved the right to interview their dates. . . For the next few hours, she would be affected by his ability to drive a car, avoid the bad crowds and stay sober. I wanted to know if he could do it. I wanted to know if he was decent.
This was my word: “decent.” Would he treat my daughter with kindness and respect? Could he be trusted to bring her home on time? In his language, actions and decisions, would he be a decent guy?
Decency mattered to me as a dad, and decency matters to Americans. We take note of the person who pays their debts. . . When the husband honors his wedding vows, when the teacher makes time for the struggling student, when the employee refuses to gossip about her co-worker, when the losing team congratulates the winning team, we can characterize their behavior as decent.
We appreciate decency. We applaud decency. We teach decency. We seek to develop decency.
So why isn’t decency doing better in the presidential race?
The leading Republican candidate to be the next leader of the free world would not pass my decency interview.
I don’t know Mr. Trump. But I’ve been chagrined at his antics. He ridiculed a war hero. He made a mockery of a reporter’s menstrual cycle. He made fun of a disabled reporter. . . He routinely calls people “stupid” and “dummy.”
Such insensitivities wouldn’t be acceptable even for a middle school student body election. But for the Oval Office? And to do so while brandishing a Bible and boasting of his Christian faith?

You found out that decency doesn’t count for much anymore. Sad.
Some people like gaudy furnishings. Others don’t. It’s a matter of taste, but doesn’t really have much correlation with a person’s sexuality.

Patton’s actions were unacceptable, at least to Eisenhower and the CIC. Patton was taken out of the fight as a result.
Patton apologized for his inappropriate behavior and later worked his way back into a position of responsibility.

On July 23, the school district signed on to an “agreement” with the Department of Education and the DOJ ensuring that the girl who identifies as a boy “will be treated like other male students while attending school in the district,” read a DOJ statement.We are just trying to fight back out here in flyover country.
It is not the nature of the evidence, but the seriousness of the charge that matters here. The charge is serious so who cares if there is proof? /sarc
LOL. Since I have back trouble it looked like he did also,and was wearing improper footwear and was uneasy. After these NE and other reports,it looks like the horn dog was looking at a new sweetie out of view of camera.
