I took some time away from FR and Im enjoying that time immensely.(it just takes an attitude adjustment).
So off I go.
I considered shutting up and simply leaving but since I have been here a while I figured , Hell I might as well say something and Opuses are somewhat of a tradition..... thus the Opus route won
Final thoughts: A professor I had said if you don't agree on terms you are not communicating
And there is not much agreement on terms anymore. The main term not agreed on is "CONSERVATIVE "
On Google FR is defined as :

People who gather here now thinK Donald Trump is conservative enough and many people now hate George W Bush for failing to be conservative enough.

since I have been on FR the following has happened....
Bill Clinton and his wife , both lawyers, skirted the law and broke the law in a myriad ways.
And while Freepers (and I) were appalled, most of the American People did not give a damn and continue to embrace them.
Next Al Gore came way too close to being elected President but we celebrated when Bush won
Integrity and honesty were big selling points when GW Bush was voted in. As far as Im concerned GW had them, still has them and the Bush's (now hated en mass) had class, which was a far cry from the previous Clinton years.
Then with 9/11 America (sort of ) woke up and realized that people in the Middle East had declared war on us some time back .....and they were serious.
WE, AMERICA (not just Bush ) then declared war. Overwhelming support was shown by almost all our representatives in Congress.
But after a few years some anti war people convinced Democrats that Bush was stupid and wrong and America should be anti war and they (the Democrats) could take control. It could be just like just like 1968 again
It was smart politics for the Democrats. Donald Trump also was smart enough at the very beginning to know that Bush was stupid and wrong and he is really proud of that. Gradually many more people were convinced of all this (and to my surprise many Freepers joined them).
The end result was the election of Obama
And a lot of Americans have been just fine with that shift, just not me. >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

I kind of agree with you; at one time, it did seem there were enough of us that had close enough points of view that it did seem like our own little corner of the world. You knew a troll when you saw it and they knew they were trolls. Now, you’d be as like to be called a RINO as a FRiend. Take care.

You actually should keep you id, you don’t want someone else squatting it and then people think its you posting.
Your mama probably told you that just because everyone else was doing it, you don’t need to do it, too — “If everyone jumped off a bridge, would you jump, too?”

I found your opus somewhat akin to what I’ve found the past few months on FR and it made me sad. There no longer seems to be much room for reasoned, civil disagreement here anymore.
Then I moused over your handle to see your sign-up date and now I’m downright depressed. This newbie holds the seasoned FReepers in high regard.

Why not just keep your id and just wait a while. Things get strange during election seasons.
That it is not as easy as it used to be to recognize fellow “conservatives,” whatever that really means, is just a testament to how FR has grown and become strong.
When there is an issue around which most of us can rally, such as Terri Schiavo, Freepers get it done (or burn up the phone lines trying to, at least).
In any case, take care. You’ll be missed by many—so again, don’t burn your bridges. Like someone said, if you give up your id, someone could take it over.
I respect your decision.
Take another break and at the end of it, reread your opus and see if you still feel that way.
