I heard of Hyperdrive but not the first one and am pretty good on obscure TV.

Black Books is another favorite of mine.

I don’t believe there was ever any mention of autism on this show. Where are you getting this? It’s just a TV show. Jeeze.

"Her Margo character almost typecast her!"

With her carriage, elegance, and grace, how she could be anything but?

“The Young Ones”

“The New Statesman”

First one had Rik Mayall as part of the cast and the second he was the star. Most European women I knew hated him.

I was Watching Black Books only last week. I have the first series on DVD :)

It Ain't Half Hot Mum was VERY popular on British TV you probably have not heard of it for the "politically correct" decision that it should never be shown on TV ever again!

The first two seasons of BB were unreal funny. The third seemed a little weak.

I used to know a guy from school that looked and acted a LOT like Bernard, esp. the first episode regarding taxes.

Manny was great in that episode with him absorbing the little book of calm.

For you Brits...You may not like it...but for me the old black and white “Andy Griffith Show” with Don Knotts are so funny and well done....can’t come up with a better American classic than that.....ya’ll go ahead if ya’ll know any funnier than Barn’ with one bullet! ;)

I forgot to add “It Ain’t Half Hot Mum” was written and produced by the same people who did “Dad’s Army”

That’s My Boy.

Main character is Ida Willis, played by Mollie Sugden (Mrs. Slocombe of Are You Being Served)

Okay comedy. Lasted about 3 seasons.

It’s missing a few CJ-isms.
