OREGON STANDOFF: 'The Portland Twenty-five', Seim on FBI: "They were there for violence"
2/13/2016 | Self

Posted on 02/13/2016 5:26:26 AM PST by Nextrush

There were two indictments unsealed in connection with the protest-occupation of the Malheur National Wildlife Refuge yesterday.

Newly charged were Geoffrey Stanek and Travis Cox. Stanek has been arrested, Cox has not yet been arrested at last report.

There are now 25 people charged in connection with the protest.

Back in 1968 when anti-Vietnam War protestors violently disrupted the Democratic National Convention, with f-bombs coming from their mouths and throwing excrement at the authorities, their leaders were charged.

Their supporters and the mainstream media dubbed them "The Chicago Seven".

Those now accused of protesting non-violently in Oregon may need a name, too. Perhaps "The Portland 25" might work for now.

With protestors outside the federal courthouse in Portland supporting them, the four who surrendered on Thursday appeared in court yesterday. They all pled 'not guilty'.

Greeting them with waves as they each walked into the courtroom was Nevada State Assemblywoman Michele Fiore, who witnessed their surrender. Maxine Bernstein of "OregonLive" wrote about defendant Sandy Anderson:

"A tearful Sandra Anderson blew Fiore a kiss and mouthed 'thank you' before she was led out of the courtroom."

Outside Nevada State Assemblyman John Moore told the media regarding LaVoy Finicum's death: "In my opinion Mr. Finicum was murdered at the hands of the Oregon State police and others federal agents as well. This man was trying to surrender, it's quite obvious on the video that he was..."

Moore went on to describe his own military experience with ambushes.

Activist Gavin Seim posted a new video last night discussing what happened when David Fry called him on Wednesday night during the FBI assault on "Camp Finicum" in the refuge parking lot, a call that led to the internet livestream viewed by hundreds of thousands of people.

Seim said: 'the FBI had nothing to do with peaceful resolution in this, people standing up, people getting the word out, patriots putting massive pressure. They were there for violence just like they always were and so make no mistake when that first night went down the FBI negotiators there were there trying to goad the patriots into violence. They wanted blood, they wanted to commit more murder just like when they assassinated LaVoy Finicum......'

The FBI is beginning a process of thoroughly searching the refuge and the buildings occupied, looking for 'evidence' and 'explosives'. Bomb squads from Oregon State Police, Portland City Police and the Oregon Air National Guard participating with the feds.

They are putting on quite a dramatic show, a show to nowhere to demonize those who stood up to the federal government's "War on the Cowboys" and their persecution of the Hammond family in Harney County, Oregon.

They just blocked traffic and commerce for a long tine. And I remember the police allowed the protesters to continue even after the riots and destruction of private property.

To be fair they should have arrested every one of them.

I would prefer not to define successful in this context. You know it when you see it. In this case, I expect innocent men to serve a second prison sentence for the same crime and then to lose their land to Obama’s corrupt followers.

Perhaps LaVoy Finicum’s death will attract more attention to Obama’s power grabs and generate more anger, and that may be a positive. However, I prefer Patton’s perspective that, “The object of war is not to die for your country.”

I’m looking for the links for this part:

I think the only thing that saved the lives of the “final four” was the live-streaming of the standoff. Those alphabet soup agencies are pretty vindictive. Good thing was not the BATF. The BATF always acts like it has something to prove to the others.

Also, there were prominent people getting involved, Franklin Graham and legislators.

They just blocked traffic and commerce for a long tine. And I remember the police allowed the protesters to continue even after the riots and destruction of private property.

To be accurate that was the New York police who made that decision.

To be fair they should have arrested every one of them.

If we can agree on that then how can you say the same should not be true for those who occupied the federal facility?

I think the interest will grow. Patriots gather their loins slowly.

Nobody talks about Occupy Wall Street and their demands. Nobody will be talking about them in a couple of weeks either, if not sooner.

The Seim video starts out saying it’s going to be a “practical, informational update.”
Then he immediately goes into conclusions, telling the viewer what to think. Then I left.
I’d like to know where to get the facts without any opinions.
What exactly happened there?

http://www.mogollonrimnews.com/freedom-or-tyranny/

Excerpt “Following the funeral the Finicum family gave a statement. Thara Finicum Tenney and Belle Finicum Collier said, “Many questions remain unanswered about our father’s death. We don’t want the media’s bias. We don’t want the FBI’s bias. We want the truth.”

The sisters said their dad had been called many things by the world this week but they call him Daddy. They said their “Daddy” believed he was following the law. “It was the federal government that was violating it. We agree with him. We also agree with Thomas Jefferson who once said, ‘When government fears the people, there is liberty. When the people fear the government, there is tyranny.’”

Belle continued, choking back tears, “Do we believe that peaceful actions justify the use of deadly force? Do we believe that two hands up in surrender justifies the use of deadly force? Do we believe that following the rule of law, the U.S. Constitution justifies the use of deadly force? If we do, then where is liberty?”

This week I wept for the Finicum family, our country and the loss of innocence for a young girl, Victoria Sharp who now has body guards because she witnessed the murder of a fellow American at the hands of the authorities. Will you stand with the Patriots and demand a full investigation into the killing of LaVoy Finicum? Do you believe in Freedom or is tyranny acceptable?”

I bought LaVoy Finicums book Only by Blood and Suffering Regaining Lost Freedom in Kanab at the memorial/fundraiser. Wow! The story starts Jan 27th That is the day after LaVoy Finicum was killed. The story is amazing so far and it includes a “Warning” from him. It begins, “To my friends, neighbors and citizens of this great land, please reflect on the events written herein. As most of us have only known peace and plenty, it is hard to believe that such things as war and famine can ever happen here. Nevertheless, the history of the world both ancient and modern teaches us otherwise. Whenever a dominant nation of the earth collapses, the record is one of horror and suffering. Atrocities greater than what is written in this book were personally experienced by one of my own family members. It would be unwise to cling to the unfounded confidence that ‘it won’t ever get that bad.’ It is my belief that freedom will arise again in this land, but only after much blood and suffering. This is my witness and my warning.” LaVoy Finicum Please support the Finicum family and like this page, buy a book or 2, My Mom is already waiting in line to read mine.

Gavin Seim is entitled to his opinions and I tend to agree with them but not everything.

Gavin’s friendship with David Fry paid off saving Fry’s life twice.

First from the FBI assault by putting it on the internet and second by helping to talk David down from his suicidal episode.

I give Mr. Seim some credit for helping to get things resolved without bloodshed involving all four people.

I will listen to Mr. Seim, but not always agree with him probably but that’s OK.
