A spindly spider took on a brown snake and won in an Australian bush battle of deadly animals.

Farmer Patrick Lees, from Weethalle about 400 kilometres west of Sydney, said he found the spindly-looking 'daddy-long-legs' spider with the snake on Saturday.

'The snake was already dead, I made sure of that before I took the photo,' he said about the snake which is known for its deadly venom.

Plenty of spiders and snakes in Texas and I hate them all. I don’t fear them I just kill them!

Saw a copperhead mowing this afternoon. Maybe the earliest ever I have ever seen one. Was 83 degrees this afternoon though.

Sort of what we are seeing here in America with Bernie and Hilary — not sure which one will win here though.

Plenty of spiders and snakes in Texas

While traveling through Texas a few years ago, the wife and I stopped at a rest stop east of Amarillo. As I walking to the mens building, I noticed a sign right outside the door. It said "watch out for rattlesnakes." That did give me pause.

I am in Houston it was pretty warm here too. Where are you?

A few years ago I was in the back yard and you know how your eye will see something but your brain takes a second to identify it? It was a copperhead that was all under the grass except his head was stickng out.

Yeah, I killed it!

From what I have read daddy long leg spiders (Pholcidae, not to be confused with “daddy long legs” which are not spiders and do not make webs), are not particularly poisonous or dangerous to people.

He was on Johnny Carson tonight on Antenna TV. Replays in about an hour. Also had Jackie Gleason.

Jim had a theater in Branson but I think last year was the last or this year will be.
