No Poker Face?
I prefer LeAnn Rimes singing it, but Lady Gaga’s version was very well done and she certainly deserves credit in this instance.
The Lady was a true lady this time.
Bravo to her performance.
She did well. :)
Gaga did a fine job. But Whitney Houston singing the Anthem at the 1991 Super Bowl set the standard that all others are measured by. IMHO
I thought she did an extraordinary rendition. I felt chills and had tears in my eyes. It really touched me.
Well, well done!
I think she tried her best to do a good job, and I think she achieved her goal.
When the attendees tried to break in with applause, she put it in second gear and shut them down but quick.
Good effort...
She was fantastic. She puts her soul into it.
I loved her performance!!
When they called her name at first I cringed, but she was amazing.
It was very nice. I liked it!
My wife and me thought she did a beautiful job! It was a very nice touch when she finished with “God Bless America!”
The timing with the Blue Angels flyover was the icing on the cake!
Her timing with the Blue Angels fly-over was perfect!
It was surprisingly amazingly good.
I had no idea.
Amazing voice. Goosebumps!!!
No interest. won’t watch, won’t listen, regardless.
Isn’t she off key on a few notes here? Or, is that what passes as “interpretation” these days? All in all it’s a pretty good performance, except for a few notes that seem wrong. Actually, I know I’m a “fuddy, duddy”, but I’ve never actually heard her before, and I’m surprised that she’s that good. except for those notes...
What’s with Carolina football player #1? I’ve noticed him before. He can’t seem to place his hand over his heart during the National Anthem. He just hangs both hands on his neckline and gazes skyward. Deliberate lack of respect. The Panthers should fine him.
She can be proud of her performance.
I never followed the *obscene Gaga* .... this redeems her a lot, IMO
You’re right...WOW!! I had never heard her sing until I watched a Barnes & Noble Christmas commercial with her and Tony Bennett singing “Baby, It’s Cold Outside.” I thought she had an awesome voice. I watched her in the past season of “American Horror Story: Hotel” and felt she played an excellent role. Her rendition of the National Anthem definitely brought tears to my eyes. By the way, I believe that was Marlee Matlin signing to the song, and she’s still a very pretty girl. I say girl, because I’m 68, and she’s 50, so I’m old enough to be her mother. My oldest son will be 50 this year.
