Wheaton College said Saturday the evangelical school and professor Larycia Hawkins have "found a mutual place of resolution and reconciliation" and "have reached a confidential agreement under which they will part ways" after they disagreed over her remarks that Christians and Muslims worship the same God.
"Wheaton College sincerely appreciates Dr. Hawkins' contributions to this institution over the last nine years," Wheaton College President Dr. Philip Graham Ryken said in a statement posted on Wheaton College's website and also released by Arise Chicago on behalf of Hawkins. "We are grateful for her passionate teaching, scholarship, community service and mentorship of our students."

Sure; the ones that try to force Islam on kids, like in Tennessee.
The argument over this is stupid. Mohammedans believe they worship the “God of Abraham”, the one true God. So do Christians and Jews. Maybe they get it wrong. Maybe Baptists have it wrong, or Catholics, or all of them. How do you know who is worshiping the “Correct” god in the correct manner? The Bible says? The Koran says? The Torah says? They each say the other’s book is wrong. Give it up. It is a matter of faith. We believe what we believe.
How can anyone PROVE that someone who claims that the God he worships is different from the God someone else worships? The Christian quotes the Bible, the Mohammedan quotes the Koran and both think they have won the argument because his book is proof and the other is a lie. The reality is, no one will know until they go to meet their maker. Until then, believe what you like and hope you have got it right.
Before Mohammad, the Middle East was a polyglot of religions as well as languages/dialects. Christianity and Judaism would be the religions of choice with many adherents. Mohammad changed all that with a rabidly intolerant warrior, genocidal religion that “cherry picked” portions of Christianity and Judaism to make it seem that Mohammad was the fulfillment of “the Book”. Allah replaced God and Islam cannot be equated with the older and better based religions.
There’s a lot of stupidity out there. There is only one God, so anyone who worships the one God worships the same God. Duh. Built into the definition.
Problem is different religions have different concepts of God. Their members understand God differently. Some of the differences are irreconcilable.
The concepts are different but the underlying reality is the same.
This is not difficult to understand.
However, leftists, including the pope, don’t get it, and think that it doesn’t matter what one’s concept of God is, because of the underlying reality, and accept everyone’s way of worshipping God as if they were all equivalent.
Wheaton is a disappointment. I would have fired her ass.
Now she is free to convert to Islam, which she probably was planning to do anyway.

Reality: There is one body and one Spirit-just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call- one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Eph 4:4-6.
The concept that Allah is God is not reality, underlying or otherwise.
Easy.
The God of the Bible tells us to love our enemies.
The god of the Koran tells his followers to kill their enemies.
Clearly different.
Actually muslims are really worshiping the devil. They just don’t know it.

Christians believe Jesus is the Son of God, who was Ressurected from the dead, and by his sacrifice on the cross our sin is removed and we may enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
Muslims go out of their way to deny the sonship and divinity of Jesus Christ. It is even written on the Dome of the Rock (mocking Christ's divinity). Muslims do not believe He rose from the dead, and don't believe in His redemption.
The Jews are still the apple of God's eye and His chosen people, and during the coming Tribulation the nation of Israel will be saved. Christians are grafted onto the vine through the Messiah.
This rock formation is on the Dome of the Rock. It looks to me like Satan, and that is what I believe Satan put there, because Islam is the worship of Satan.
Christians believe God has a son. Muslims believe God has no sun.
Christians believe God is triune (one being, three persons). Muslims believe God is unitarian (one being, one person).
How do you prove they're different? You look at their attributes. They're different. QED.

I totally agree. As a graduate of Wheaton, I’m disappointed. They caved in to political pressure, and their responses were a model of political correctness. Nauseated me. Baloney! No guts!!! (And if you talk really nicely to me, I’ll tell you what I really think!)

islam is a leftwing totalitarian political movement with same goals as leftwing totalitarian Communism
islam has its’ own legal system (sharia) that rejects God’s Torah
islam is pure satanism...and demonstrates that evil everyday.
It does not matter which God anyone believes in, so long as that God does not reward you with 72 virgins for killing people who believe in a different God.
Liberals must have a death wish? Because the Caliphate will chop heads off of liberals first.
