The only known wild jaguar in the United States is seen roaming around a creek and other parts of a mountain range in southern Arizona in the first publicly released video of the giant cat.
"El Jefe" -- Spanish for "the boss" -- has been living in the Santa Rita Mountains about 25 miles south of downtown Tucson for over three years, according to the Center for Biological Diversity.
El Jefe is about 7 years old and is one of only four or five jaguars that have been spotted in the U.S. in the last 20 years. He's the only documented wild jaguar in the country. ...

Better stay in Squarizona, if it gets in Texas it’s open season and it will end up on someones living room floor.

I’ve heard that there are Black Panthers (feline, not the political commies) in south Texas that came up from Mexico..
Would love to see a pic of one of those.

Panthers are like labs, female can whelp black, chocolate or blonde offspring. Except the chocolate.

Large panther like black cats have been spotted intermittently in Michigan for over 20 years. no one has ever caught one though.

My thoughts exactly. Why would anyone want to kill such a gorgeous big cat. I hope that
more of them show up, & that they are well protected from poachers who want a new rug.
I despise poachers.

The last one I know of there was killed by a government biologist, a big cat specialist, no less.
