A couple of months back a large percentage of the apps in the Apple store were carrying malware. No mobile device is secure.

This is what sold me on my IPhone! Who wants Goodle or the USG rooting around in your private phone? 6Plus works for me!

also in March is when Apple will have its event which they will most likely show off a new iPhone

Apple is on a pretty consistent schedule to show off the new iPhone in October.

My wife uses galaxy phones and I use IPhones. She has had a lot more issues over the years than I have. That said, they are both good phones.

My suggestion is use Upsie to insure your new phone, not AT&T/Verizon/T-Mobile.

$50 once instead of $11/month for 2 years.

They are both good phones. The S6 has a better camera and has a faster processor. The Apple OS and UI are much better optimized for speed.
If you can wait, I suggest waiting the Samsung S6 is coming out in a few months http://phandroid.com/2016/01/25/samsung-galaxy-s7-leak-testing-facility-camera-module/
There is a rumor of a new Iphone 6 coming out

If you want an Android device and like a keyboard and value security, I recommend the Blackberry Priv.

But as I said, if you are still deciding, play around with both and also look at what applications you need to run.

A couple of months back a large percentage of the apps in the Apple store were carrying malware. No mobile device is secure.

That's BS. . . and totally untrue. Apple's App Store were not compromised. China's App store had a total of 37 compromised Chinese language apps caused by XghostTools, none of which reached the USA, all the rest were on Chinese third party App stores for Jailbroken iPhones. . . and those totaled about 4000 apps out of over 1.5 million.

Most likely it's supposed to be a new 4" phone similar to the iPhone 5 with newer A8 processor and TouchID to please those who like the small format.

My sister has an iPhone 6, has had to have it repaired twice. I have the Samsung Galaxy S6, have had it for about 4 months, so far so good. I had to get a new phone since my original Samsung Galaxy phone stopped working. Would love to see what the S7 will be like. The Apple event is in March where supposedly they will introduce the new iPad Air 3

It would be highly unusual for Apple to introduce a new iPhone lineup in March. They’ve done that in September the last seven years. There are a lot of rumors from often-reliable sources about a smaller form factor iPhone bringing up the rear, so to speak, at the lowest-cost end of the lineup; 6c has been floated as a possibility. If history is any guide, it will be internally similar to the 6 (without an S), but in a more 5ish size.

Uh, no. It has a higher clock speed. It's not a faster processor. Check out what the tests actually show. The iPhone 6s and 6s plus put to shame the Samsung's faster clock speed processors, every time, in speed tests in real world head-to-head and geek bench testing.

Who needs octa-core CPUs and 4GB of RAM? iPhone 6s is the fastest phone on the planet
