You don’t need anything more than a sentence, Sarah Palin explained her reasons perfectly clearly. She wants to help Trump make America great again. Period.

I think she was probably offered a cabinet position.....haven’t heard word one if it is so. I think I heard that the palin family also has been treated very will by trump in the past with him publicly defending her when other have not betrayed her they just did not defend her.

but the real reason I think she endorsed him is that glen beck did not. LOL

In her speech, I thought she was very clear in why . . .

Sarah believes Trump offers the Republican party the "best" chance to win the Presidency of the United States.

Of course some here cant digest that, or rather too much heartburn. And of course the purist heads are exploding, but . . . that is her reason.

And of course, as usual, Sarah Palin is absolutely correct. And a whole lot of radio talk show hosts, media talking heads, and know-it-all political pundits are wrong.

We close the borders, build the wall, stop the illegal invasion, or America dies. It’s no more complicated than that.

Many appear to be happy with defeat and ideological purity.

This is like the Libertarian crowd. Very committed to never winning.

"Make America Great Again" is as nebulous as "Fundamentally Transform".

For example, is this part of Trump making America great again:

Speaking with Larry King Live in 1999, Trump said he was "quite liberal” when it came to health care. “I said I’m conservative, generally speaking, I’m conservative, and even very conservative,” Trump told King in response to a question about a “patients’ bill of rights. “But I’m quite liberal and getting much more liberal on health care and other things. I really say: What’s the purpose of a country if you’re not going to have defensive and health care?’” “If you can’t take care of your sick in the country, forget it, it’s all over. I mean, it’s no good. So I’m very liberal when it comes to health care,” he said. “I believe in universal health care. I believe in whatever it takes to make people well and better.”

Or when he said:

He (Trump) wrote in his 2000 book that, “We need, as a nation, to reexamine the single-payer plan, as many individual states are doing.”

Or when he said this in the debates:

“What I would like to see is a private system, without the artificial lines around every state. I have a big company with thousands and thousands of employees, and if I’m negotiating in New York, or New Jersey or in California, I have like one bidder. Nobody can bid, you know why? Because the insurance companies are making a fortune because they have control of the politicians. Of course with the exception of the politicians on the stage. But they have total control of the politicians. They are making a fortune.”

Since he said all three, one would hope he sticks with the latest, but I am sure people in 1999 who liked what he said then thought he would stay with that version, too.

I agree .. it rambled on and on .. and while it made sense, somewhat, he then went into Cruz bashing .. and I stopped listening.

I’m not against Sarah at all .. and if Trump has already decided to choose her as his VP .. I’d be all for it. That would leave Ted with the Justice Dept - and hopefully he would be able to clean up that cesspool.

Plus, if he does as good a job as I think he would do .. it could propel him into the WH .. especially if Trump does not want to do a 2nd term.

All kinds of possibilities .. so let’s not get upset .. and just let the chips fall where they may. God may be orchestrating something we are not aware of .. but I’m keeping my prayers going .. to help it along.

One other thing .. the GOP-e may have decided to help Trump (against Cruz), but with Palin there .. she will be able to steer Trump in a better direction than what he’s been doing. And, Mr.L said that Trump had been made aware of what the McCain people had done to Sarah. Hopefully, that will show him that getting in bed with the -e’s is a very bad deal ...... for everybody.

She was a fake conservative all this time? She wants to be as rich as DT? I didn’t realize she was pretending conservative values until today. Clear as a bell now. She lost her base today, isn’t gonna be much left of it.

Sure she (Palin) does....want to make America "great again, just like she wanted to make Arizona great again, when she endorsed McCain over another real conservative!

Sarah "wanted America to be great again," as she knew McCain, like her, wanted to secure the borders, get rid of crony Capitalism, just like McCain did.

Oops, I guess McCain didn't want all those things after all, did he Sarah but then you knew it all along?

Didn’t you understand that a single payer universal healthcare system was a threat to personal liberty in 1999? I did. Trump apparently didn’t. Who cares if it was 15 years ago.

It would be immediately obvious to a true conservative the problem with a government run single payer system. Yet it wasn’t to Trump. He changed his stance not for the obvious personal liberty issue, but for another reason or, it took him 15 years to figure out what we immediately knew. As far as I know, the first time he espoused this new stance was as a political candidate.

You have to wonder “why?”...

He says what we all think and none of the rest did.The one that comes closest is Cruz, who I like BTW,I think Trump is the only one who can overcome the establishment by the very fact the donor, himself, wont shut the money off.

Is 2015 current enough to count as what he is saying now?

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/3385249/posts

Or are we restricted to only what he is saying during primary season as a declared candidate, when many candidates tend to shift their message to entice the base?
